What are your thoughts in regards to Ward Ed, seems a little baffling to bring him back from what was a reportedly successful loan stint, when we are even yet to see him play. It seems very strange and seems to point to our continued misuse of our younger players, it seems as he would have been better off staying at Aberdeen, at least he would have been playing week in, week out. Maybe I am jumping the gun a little, and there is a plan for him to play in some coming games or the EL. Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - The fans have massively over-reacted to his return. They see secret messages in everything that happens. Nothing more.}

Hi Brisbane,

I'm very surprised by this too but can only imagine klopp trusts bogdan that little that he wants to have ward waiting in the wings and Jan would have been the only time Aberdeen would have let him go mid season?

Every team had a reserve keeper on the bench. Clearly Bogdan wasnt good enough so we bring Ward back in.

He's been playing well so that seems very logical.

Why is that misuse of a player?

Hes contracted to Liverpool, just had some experience at Aberdeen and done well so has now forced his way up the pecking order.

Sorry Ed, I'm not really sure what you mean by secret messages and massive over reactions. I was ask for your thoughts on whether it may have been better to stay on loan where he was playing, than sitting on the bench not playing is all.

{Ed002's Note - You asked for my thoughts in regards to Ward. My thoughts are based on the surprise given to me by the collective orgasm of the Liverpool fans when this reserve player was taken back from having played a few games in Scotland. Since then I have seen hundreds of posts proposing Ward as the savior of the season - and there is zero basis for such weird thoughts by the fan base. He is simply another kid that the manager has decided to end the loan of in order to provide a vastly bloated squad and an increased wage bill. He has gone from getting good and useful experience to hanging out in Liverpool. Makes some sense if Bogdan were to be released from his contract tomorrow or Liverpool find somewhere that he is happy to go on loan to. But that is not why Ward's loan was ended early.}

Everyone was raving about Llori as the saviour to Liverpool defensive woes, until he was given his chance and struggled to run after ten minutes.

Not everything is a solution.

Difference is Davey, Ward was playing well, albeit in the Scottish leagues, whereas Ilori wasn't even playing, so not getting match fitness! Why bring Ward back to have him sit on the bench, especially for an FA Cup match where there were other youngsters playing? I appreciate he'll be understudy to Mignolet in PL and EL matches, but why bring him back for bench work in FA Cup matches, when he could have had much more in Scotland with Aberdeen and so gain much needed experience? I know the answer in a way and that will be if Mignolet gets a bad injury on Feb 5th, he'll be around to step in rather than the other option of Bogdan! Trouble is, Bogdan was at least getting a few games, even if played badly in!
