Eds I need a bit of your knowledge if you have the time, why does the away goals rule come in after 90 mins? Then surely one team has 90 mins to score an away goal and the other 120. Any information would be appreciated it's one of those that I haven't got my head around.

{Ed001's Note - it is just one of those quirks of the game they probably should change.}

I don't particularly mind that rule to be honest I'd personally change it to away goals rule after 90 mins and then golden goal in extra time if it gets there.

I imagine because the team that is away in the second leg gets and extra 30 minutes at home. Therefore, the away side is compensated with an extra 30 minutes to get an away Goal.

Walls I get that, but no matter how good the home support is, not one of them can get up and score look at stokes support last night, it wasn't exactly quiet. But I understand that's the logic they have lead with.

Thanks for the reply ed!

Very rarely is this an issue IMO.

Is there a reason it's two legs for the semi? Tv coverage? Why can't they just do one at Wembley like the fa cup?
