Hi Eds, Got a question for you, although not necessarily fully LFC related.
I've just read Lucas's article on the LFC website (well worth a read if you haven't read it), and he talks about he doesn't want to put any pressure on his son on whether he would like to play football professionally when he's older.
So I've been thinking whether you had any examples of both father and son being exceptional players (I know about Paul and Tom Ince being a father and son duo but I mean truly 'world-class'-like players)?
Thanks a lot! Other users please help answer this as well if you can think of any off the top of your head!

Kopchu.

{Ed001's Note - Neymar and Neymar Jr.}

Eds, it's been a really long time. I hope you guys are doing great.
Ed001 what about your Maldinis and Forlans. Three generation of really great players.

{Ed001's Note - I have never seen the older generations of those players, so I can't comment on them sadly.}

Johan Cruyff and Jordi Cruff, both world class. but obviously Johann Cruyff is on another planet.

{Ed001's Note - Jordi world class? I think you are on another planet! He was nowhere near world class.}

Not too shabby, was recruited from Barcelona by Fergie for ManU. played for national team. that should qualify for world class, no?

{Ed001's Note - no it should not, he was average, as were a lot of the players Fergie bought. His skill wasn't buying world class players, it was getting a team to play for each other. As for Barca, they were not the Barca of now, and he was no Neymar, Messi or Suarez.}

Wasn't Pepe Raina's dad a quality GK?

Edd001 I thought you didn't think neymar was all that. He's an excellent player for me he's not as good as suarez never mind messi.

{Ed001's Note - Neymar Jr has improved massively this season mate.}

I suppose the Schmeichels could be included in the list.
Don't think Jasper can be called world class yet though.

As with many players (such as Sanchez for example), not being semi-forced to play to Messi's liking has done great things for Neymar.

Sergio Busquets and his dad the goalie?

If international caps are enough then how about Ian Wright and Shaun Wright-Phillips?

Didn't Youri Djorkeaff's father play for France?

What a cracking little player Youri Djorkeaff was, I always thought he was the French Litmanen.

{Ed002's Note - Jean - I recall him as manager of St Et.}

Arguably on this season is so far I would like be giving the ball on dor to neymar Jr. I really thought he was massively overrated but he has well and truly is proved me wrong this year!

I think nowadays it's a lot more unlikely that kids make it, did to the money in the game. When you look at Beckhams sons for example, they have money and fame already, they don't have any reason to push themselves to the next level except if they make that decision.
