Does anyone know what the players think of henderson as a capatin? i haven't really heard any players speak about him as a captain (dont know if its because he's injured) . Ed001 what do you think about him as captain and would you give the armband to someone else?

{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't change it now he has got it, but he wouldn't have been my choice. The players have said nothing but good things about him to be honest, but whether that is just toeing the party line or their honest opinion, I really couldn't say. I am of the opinion that he is very well liked and respected though.}

He is consistent, reliable and was never injured (but now) . Leadership qualities, we haven't seen enough of from Henderson, but I agree with Ed001 that taking him off the role now will be a big blow for him personally.

Problem was that our previous manager wasn't giving Lucas or Sakho any game time when he was dishing out the captaincies. Mr Leiva by a country mile for me.

NOt sakho! Let him do his job at the back but not for captain. Lucas or henderson.

Hendo for me.
Lucas was in and out of the team for various reasons including injury and Rodgers garbage team selections, so he couldn't have got it, I agree he would make an excellent captain though, maybe vice captain when Milner drops out the team.
Hendo is an excelent choice still, leads by example but in a different way to Gerrard.
