For me, Lallana was MOTM. He worked incredibly hard and some of the turns he made were absolutely fantastic! Hopefully we'll see the Lallana of Southampton on a regular basis. I was very disappointed with Milner though and I thought he was a walking red card. He just needs to settle down a bit I think. Onwards and upwards. Without a doubt a much improved performance today which is an excellent sign of things to come.

I thought Lallana played well too, but for me it was Can. Amazing what putting players in the correct position will do for their confidence and contribution to the game.

Lallana really threw himself about, really impressed with his work rate.
I imagine Milner will lose his place to firmino and Can will lose his to hendo.

MOTM for me was Minolet, kept us in the game.

I thought Lallana worked hard but failed to really do too much for me, Looked better but personally still not up to scratch!

For me it was Sakho. Excellent passing and he was a force to be reckoned with at the back. Skrtle Kept hesitating though, like he wanted to retreat back into the box and hide; awfully scared for a tough guy.

It's so annoying when people say things like mignolet was motm because he kept us in the game. Why? Because if we'd had John ruddy in goal he'd of saved the same shots migs did his job as well as any average keeper would. The other half of his job is distribution and in that he kicked the ball into touch everytime he got it. At best his performance was 6/10.

@kizz

True about Skrtel. Which is a shame, when he had agger or carra next to him he was hard and fearless. We used to use the Chuck Norris jokes to describe him. Maybe being considered a senior (a leader) doesn't fit with him. Which would explain him being overlooked as v/c.

For the first time this year I didn't really know who was going to be subbed, I thought everyone played well but I also believed that Sinclair and ibe should have seen more game time as the Spurs defenders tired, for a lot of the match origi looked a little stranded and needed a partner.

Milner played probably his best game, but still wasn't anywhere near the best on pitch. Allen looked lively and I was impressed when he came on. Migs saved our asses. Can and Lucas played well together. Lallana looks like finding his Southampton form, and the four at the back seemed to be slowly building their confidence.

MOTM. I would have given it to migs. But his poor distribution cancels out the work his hands were doing. So, I'd say either can or dembele.

Sam I'm afraid the boys were watching a different game then us and a few others. Decent much improved performance today and klopp only had 3 days with half a squad and plplayers injured.

Milner had a poor game and could have been sent off so don't know what game you were watching, Rooboy.

I feel for Lallana.
He's so smooth on the ball he just glides.
There is no question over his technique or his work rate.
Where he fails is his lack of pace which leads to him needing to do too much with the ball. He beats a man and then the opponent is back on him before he can get free or play the final ball.
I don't know if he needs training to make better runs or what but his chronic lack of pace kills him. He's not suited to the English game really. He'd look better in Italy, Germany or Holland.

I thought Lallana was poor again. But obviously if so many say he was good I must be wrong :/
Sacky and Migs best players for me.

A couple of points. I don't think Lallana lacks pace anymore than say PC. He is never gone kill people with his pace alone but he hardly has a chronic lack of pace. I watched the game and it is silly to say all Migs clearances went straight out of play? Again his passes were inaccurate or general hoofs up field but he didn't scuff everything to the sidelines. We need a keeper like Reina who could provide pin point accurate passes which Migs cannot but let's be fair about things yeah?

Sakho the coolest player on the pitch. Rest were just above average. PC was non existent in the first half.

I thought PC had a great game in the sense he worked his socks off, maybe hung on the ball too long but he relished in pressing game. Sahko is huge, distributing from the back reminds be of Dagger. What was very obvious is that they passed the ball forward, and went forward, wow, who would of thought that possible? ! General improvement in my eyes, definitely short in the fitness dept though, but that will come.

Awesome seeing passion on the sidelines again. Watching the team develop is going to be great.

@redohio

Sorry if I wasn't clear.

I meant that Milner played well for Milner. Which is still way off what a first team starter should be. Yet alone a v/c.

I think his return to the wing will suit him and us better. But I still think he is an extremely poor player, an insult to Stevies arm band, and should be a bench warmer. He has come to LFC and been treated like a god by Rodgers. He should never have been our v/c. I will get a klopp tattoo if he removes Milner from that arm band.
