Chris Bascombe has said that Rodgers has 3 games to save his job. Not sure what to make of his comments but there you go.

I hope Klopp is an option, I know what's been said about him and we have shown no interest in him but fingers crossed we go for him.

While i can certainly see the appeal in Klopp, from the sounds of it, we need to let that one go. It appears we have been warned against him, whether rightly or wrongly, and that advise has been accepted. We need a top manager to come in and turn things quickly. It is easier to play when your opposition fears you and who would be scared of us right now?

I think it's nonsense. The idea that 3 games changes everything that's gone on before seems ridiculous.
They either have confidence in him or they don't and if they don't then 3 games won't change it.

I can tell you now, I know two football managers who were given ultimatums, one in the premier league at the time as to winning games. over a set period,or face the sack. It does happen. Do I necessarily believe BR has been told 3, No. Am I aware it's happened in the past. Yes.

Btw there are some significant things to look out for statistically as to why people are told these things. For example. If you lose 3 games in Europe You are usually out of the running to qualify from your group. With 12 points considered to be the magical target to hit minimum to qualify.

When chasing titles, I was made aware that once you hit over 6 losses, you were considered out of the running, as across 20 seasons no team has ever won the league with over 6 losses. There will likely be other numerical indicators as to the clubs progression or regression.

It's worth noting across October we have 7 games that will define our season. We could be out the League cup, almost out of Europa league and have hit the 6 losses. All before bonfire night

Got to say ref the supposed Klopp advice, we don't seem to have a good record recently on any advice taken whether it be player or management related. so what if he's difficult? He looks a good fit for us football wise and understanding of the culture because he's come from a kindred spirit in Dortmund.

Whoever they choose they need to act soon for my mind, as the soul has gone from anything we do at the moment. and I include the fans support in that on match days

Bascomb is an absolout tool though. He tries too hard to support Rodgers and "blame" everyone else. It just gets boring and tbh looses all credibility.

Lets hope his friend rodgers is gone as soon as the international break is here.

Have a good one guys!

He's just copying what Ed002 said a week or so ago, redohio.

I agree with Ron. And seemingly from what Macca has said, they have already made their decision that Rodgers has failed and needs to be sacked.

I don't know what Ed002 said but if he says the same thing then I'm pleased about that.

Is it 3 games to save his job or are they just finding their replacement at the same time so that a quick change can happen and therefore provide an immediate change?

{Ed023's Note - I don't understand the logic of keeping him for 3 games. Let's say we win those 3 and then lose the next 3, does he get a further 3 games to save his job?}

I don't think the results matter now Skip, its the performances, there's always a chance we'll pick up jammy wins but the performances clearly show that over a large number of games, on average, we'll lose more than we win, and as a result fall to a lower league position. Rodgers has us going nowhere, and he's shown no sign of being able to turn it around. I think it'll be the Villa game and he's gone.
