Like everyone else I am slightly concerned whether Benteke will suit our style of play.

However cast your minds back 12months to the Ballotelli signing - there was a player clearly not suitable for LFC in style, commitment or character.

I am far more enthusiastic about Benteke.
If we can find a system that brings the best out of him then we have got a helluva player on our hands!

The lad has a bit of everything about him, surely I'm not the only one who had panic attacks when I saw him on the opposition timesheet?

I'm starting to warming to the idea of having Benteke. With the creative players behind him creating chances I think he could get 15+ league goals next season for us.

What is it about him you don't think will fit?

He has quick feet, plenty of pace and is a finisher.
I actually think he has similar attributes to Sturridge.
We just need to keep him focused.

Just checked out the training pictures with the lads still in Liverpool. Amazing we have 4 starters still back at melwood.

Also didn't know balotelli knew how to smile.

I'll be honest I'm not 100% convinced about him, more so the Managers ability to use the squad how he should,,, however back to the point. He will add something extra in the box for crosses and corners (Note - check out some of the last games he played and defending is not his forte e on corners as a team we have to defend - he ball watches / loses marker).

Also on the games against us some of the direct running, back heels while drawing defenders away with him etc. will allow a lot of assists (if the AM's score from them).

He's hoping we get a player that realises what he can do for us (and himself) - if we do he will be a v good signing

What I'm hopeful of is we set up with a more consistent team structure and selection now we have the players in place and a proper set of strikers to choose from. Last year was a shambles in terms of selection and strategy.
