Bit of a strange question for you Eds. Say Liverpool were keen on a player, but they found out the player had a chronic fear of flying. Would that be an issue ? with all the traveling involved nowadays's. Tours to far flung places & European games.

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - No it would not be a major issue. Liverpool only play in Europe for short periods nowadays and driving or getting a train is not a major problem. Merson and Bergkamp both had major issues flying when at Arsenal.}

You just can't resist a sly dig eh Ed lol

{Ed002's Note - It would be funny if it wasn't true.}

Manchester United apparently consider the allergy to nuts as a deal-breaker as they feel with Van Gaal in there, it wouldn't work out for anyone with a nuts aversion or allergy.

Jesus Navas of Manchester City used to have a well documented "fear of traveling" which forced him to miss many games for Spain and Sevilla, and reject many transfer offers. But it seems he has overcome the fear after intensive counseling and treatment.

{Ed002's Note - That was homesickness I think.}

Agree Ed002. A combination of homesickness, panic and anxiety attacks, and a fear of traveling anywhere.

{Ed001's Note - it was homesickness, the traveling was never the issue, it was all about leaving the area.}

It was homesickness, very severe case of it.

Surprised to hear merson had a fear of flying, heard he put enough stuff up his nose one Saturday night to get him to the moon.
