Eds just a question as a review is done every year but not as intense

But what was the feeling of the coaches after last seasons review?

How would they find they were not good enough either without speaking to either Rodgers or players?

And does Brendan know this is all what came from the review or is it partly to force him to resign?

Problem I have now is even if he succeeds like say a title next year (lol) but its going to be because of the new coaches! Brendan won't get credit now. He will also get if we fail tgag the new coaches are fantastic and Brendan is the bad one.

Not bothered either way, as its football at the end of the day and it just screws with your head if you think to much about it but this does feel as you said that Brendan is sort of lost in the middle, no backing but not sacked and everything else getting torn up around him.

Thanks eds :)

{Ed001's Note - I am sure Rodgers will manage to take all the credit for himself, he has been doing that since his career started. After all, every good bit of form a player has he is always full of how he got them playing well. The review involved watching training and how the coaches interacted with the players, they were deemed to be not doing a good enough job. As for last season, that was a long time ago and the review was not as in depth, though there were concerns over the defending then, which led to the club acquiring a number of defenders Brendan asked for.}

Ed001 who was part of the review who would be familiar with the work of the coaches to measure that they weren't good enough? Were senior players past or present sounded out? Surely whoever made the judgement had to have taken in many training sessions. Interesting developments, difficult to see how Rodgers won't view his own position as untenable now. Do you have any insight as to how this will all play out?

{Ed001's Note - I don't know who was looking into the training aspects and performances aspects. I would assume a lot of the work was done by data consultants of various kinds. They seem to be in use at all levels, certainly the FA has recently appointed someone I know as a data architect consultant, though I have yet to figure out what that actually is.}

Ed, but didn't they and Rodgers come to us within the same package? If Rodgers did choose them by himself, how can FSG fire them without firing Rodgers?

If so, how do they expect Rodgers to work with the assistant they have chosen?

Seems a bit strange for me. Is it a common practice?

{Ed001's Note - head coaches tend to be brought in to work with the staff already at the club. The DoF normally brings in the coaching staff so that there is continuity if the head coach leaves. Often the head coach will ask for particular people, but there is no guarantee they will get them. It really does depend on the club. As I said a long time ago now, the review seems to be recommending a DoF and head coach set up. In which case Rodgers will have a say, but he won't be the final decision maker.}

To be fair December 2013 Brendan said all of hendersons progress was down to hendo himself as he's got a terrfic attitude and worked very hard etc (so not always taking all the credit)

And I'm sure the players must of been sounded out then.

1/because the defending isn't a cosches problem as to be fired alone for as the head coach has either put then in charge of defending (and if there not good enough and he hasn't stripped them of there duties then its his fault) and to if there going off the instructions of the head coach (ie this is what drills were doing) then its his fault again.

All that can of happened is there happy with his attacking coaching and are supplying him with a separate defensive coach.

What I can't get my head around Is did they know they were being watched?

And if they did then they must really be bad because it can't only be me that knows when you are under scrutiny then you work even harder (like your supervisor is eight over your shoulder) so for them to of been seen to be bad enough to sack, they surely can't of know they were getting monitored!

Yeah but what I mean by the title challege season is everyone was deemed to have succeeded and be good etc and defensive issues were put down to personel (ie the transfers in the summer)

Ao when it goes bad how can they find enough to sack the cosches and not Brendan? Of you get me? How does one get away wih it and not the others as they were all there when we did well!

I think Brendan will have done everything to keep his job purely because if he doesn't succeed here its pretty much big time career over and back to middle table clubs. Although were on our way there ourselves.

I think if all goes well next year Brendan might leave and walk away with a succeful season rather than this past catastrophe.

If the manager did not recognize that as a problem, is he worth keeping? It is like if your boss at work came to tell you all the issues you had with your team that you have not addressed. immediate question would/should be whether or not you are the right person to lead the team. right?

Goodbye Mr Rodgers !

I cannot believe any success if he is retained. He has had many chances.

If you want to win.

Get the best.

More news to come obviously.

Emery, Bielsa or ?

Who knows?

Exatly powerLFC

So if they weren't good enough and it only took a review 6 months to figure it our but took Brendan 3 years to not figure it out then surely he isn't good enough with being in charge of the staff.

All pointing to a DOF guys.

Emery has just commited to Sevilla, so let's see if monchi does aswel.
