It is quite laughable that there are those who still believe Rodgers should have another season.

Last season Rodgers had an idea whereby he had Gerrard playing as the deepest midfielder knocking balls up to Sturridge and Suarez which lead to us scoring the most goals in League season and putting in a title challenge. Direct, fast paced football was the order of the day but Rodgers lack of defensive know-how has been another downfall every season he has been at the club.

Fast forward and now a season later and three seasons at LFC, Rodgers still has no idea of what playing style he wants for Liverpool Football Club. Surely that is a massive problem?

"Death by Football" was the idea that Rodgers sold to FSG which got him the job. This is a philosophy which has failed Rodgers each and every season since joining LFC.

“When you’ve got the ball 65, 70 percent of the time it’s a football death for the other team. We’re not at that stage yet, but that’s what we’ll get to, it’s death by football”.

Combine the above quote with patient, slow build up football and it immediately is a recipe for disaster in a fast paced, physical English Premier League.

Last season and the return of Luis Suarez after his ban saw Rodgers immediately changing to a direct, counter attacking style of play. It resulted in the club scoring 101 EPL goals and it was exciting to watch but it was never going to be sustainable especially with an defensively inept minded Manager i.e. Brendan Rodgers.

This season we have not had Suarez and Sturridge has been injured majority of the season but there is no way Rodgers would have been able to get as many goals this season without the ability of a player like Suarez who was the most important cog in the direct style of play last season.

Rodgers recent comments of “You can’t hide the fact we’ve lost over 50 goals,” is utterly laughable. as the way he has set up his team this season was never going to score as many goals as we did last season, not even with Suarez in the side.

So what did he do?

Rodgers knew last season already that Suarez would be leaving so what gives him the right to complain that we lost 50 goals when he had +-£120m to spend, finished 2nd in the league and had CL football to offer?

Instead, Rodgers went and spent money on players from Southampton which were never needed. Brought in Balotelli who was never going to fill in for Suarez in any shape or form.

In return, Southampton took that money they got from us and invested it in players who have helped them to 57 points so far this season which is only 1 point less than what we have. This is after LFC spending double what Southampton have.

Back to the comical comments 'loss of 50 goals" from Rodgers. Raheem Sterling is not a striker, yet Rodgers has relied on him to get the goals this season? Meanwhile there are 6 other strikers Rodgers has signed since joining the club i.e. Yesil, Aspas, Balotelli, Borini, Lambert & Sturridge.

Yesil is still young and has had many injury issues, Aspas is on loan but what gives Rodgers the right to complain when he is not making use of Balotelli, Borini and Lambert irrespective of whether they are good enough or not. He signed them and wasted money by doing so. He has no right to complain and then give the fans a reason to rip apart Raheem Sterling who is now expected to produce the goods up top when he is not even a dedicated striker?

"Loss of 50 goals" and some want to still fall for his excuses when he says 'Marquee" players are needed next season and FSG will support that.

Where where the "marquee" players last summer Mr. Brendan Rodgers when we finished 2nd last season, had CL to offer and +-£120m to spend plus the owners are supportive of it?

Mr. Brendan Rodgers, how on earth are you going to sign "marquee" players with less money, no CL football and the fact that you failed miserably in your three season spending more than £200m of Liverpoll Fotball Clubs money and wasted it. Plus the fact that you are the first manager in our history which has failed to win a single trophy in three seasons!

Brendan Rodgers needs to go and hopefully FSG have learned from there mistakes by appointing him as if they do not get rid of him now then the damage could very well end up irreparable.

Rogers is an idiot, it will be cheaper short term to pay off and rid LFC of BR and his chronies Pascoe and Marsh, employ Klippity Klopp and hopefully he will recoup the monies back in a year getting us CL and further up the table and maybe a cup or two.
With BR we have gone backwards on field, sponsors want to be associated with success not mediocrity.

Have to agree unfortunately we have just got in a time machine and nothing is any better than this time 3 years ago maybe even worse as we don't have Gerrard soon and Suarez I hope we sort this out soon and the liverpool haters like ed 02 will have a bit of respect again NO CHANCE lol.

Ed002 isn't a Liverpool hater at all. Ed002 is critical of what has happened at the club, but in no way does that constitute hate, if you took time to read some of the things said, you would find a fair amount of respect.

Like he wanted Suarez to leave 4 years ago because he supposedly was a cost to the club? Like he wanted Dalglish gone and replaced by another, then said BR is good for the club the same manager he is so bashing right now? Like when we were saying all we needed to win the PL 2 years ago were 2 world class players and he kept on defending several purchases like Borini and defending the team that we didn't have the money power to buy Mata(a player who I believed would have massively made that team title challengers at the time), something we see after all these years was not true?
