Yesterday was our 25th year of failing to win the top flight since our last win. and it made me wonder how bad that actually was until I found some interesting stats on the internet.

The following is from 6th worst gap to the very worst gap between wins:-
6] Man United: 29 seasons between winning the title in 1911 and their next triumph in 1952
5] Burnley: 31 seasons between winning the league in 1921 and their next title in 1960
4] Man City: 43 seasons between winning the title in 1968 and 2012
3] Chelsea: 49 seasons between winning the title in 1955 and 2005
2] Aston Villa: 59 seasons between winning the title in 1910 and 1981
1] Blackburn Rovers: 71 seasons between winning the title in 1914 and 1995

It didn't placate me about our situation but it did make me laugh about the wait some had to put up with. and it made me realise that I can't really get vexed at them for having a joke yesterday (and probably the rest of the season) at our still waiting status.
