Very very tough day today. It's quite obvious that we need to change the system again, it's ok us all say sack the manager but it sometimes gets even worse, so be careful of what you wish for. Big game on Wednesday and let's hops Rodgers can get the team up for it after today.

If we replace the manger with a half decent one, we will do lot better than what we are doing. But the problem is BR has p1ssed away an enormous amount of money and our FFP predicament means the new manager will never be able to spend as much.

I think FFP will only be an issue if we are in Europe. And on current showing I'm not sure we will be.

Our first team when everyone is fit and on form can compete with most. The big problem today was the absent Skrtl - as our replacement defenders just don't cut it. And in the Premier League it only takes one weak link to undermine a team. Lucas and Sturridge coming back from injury were also clearly off the pace.

Our real problem though is our replacements are not up to scratch. Compare our squad to Arsenal's for example - they had Diaby, Arteta and Wiltshire missing from their midfield today.

This new system we are playing is not genius - it is simply a response to having no quality at all at fullback. BR knows he can't play Moreno at LB, and he has been without Flano all season and can't trust Johnson. For me fullbacks are an absolute priority for next season.

Clearly we will need a new CB too. If Lovren can't be trusted in a match like today then he must be sold on and surely this has to be the end of the road for Toure,

Then there is a replace met for Suarez. Money from Balotelli, Borini, Lambert and Aspas should provide a good start towards getting hold of a quality finisher to play alongside Sturridge - with Origi providing cover and maybe we will also get Ings?

I hope though we've learned a lesson and change the way we buy. Surely buying two top players for £30m each would have been better than buying Lallana, marlovic and Balotelli for £60m. I understand the wages argument, but wouldn't we be better with a core squad of top players complimented by young players instead of a sprawling squad of mediocrity?

Perhaps we don't have the clout to pull in the £30m rated players any more? Probably more like we don't want to pay the wages - but it seems like a false economy to me.
