Hi Ed002, I know you have stated that Fsg are going to review the club performance and do what is necessary when they feel that time is right.

I am interested in your own opinion of what has gone at liverpool this season. Also if you could tell us who you think would be a right fit for Fsg to take over the reins if things do not improve.

I value your opinion as you do not have an emotional attachment to the club and can see and analyse things in a clinical manner, unlike us pool fans who are quite emotive esp since the wheels fell off. I know your busy but would appreciate a reply. Cheers Ed.

{Ed002's Note - I think the summer spending was very poor. I provided a breakdown of the players one-by-one before but Balotelli took it way over the edge. Markovic is a very good prospect, but he is not ready for the EPL and not worth what Liverpool paid. With FFP looming the money spent had to be spent well. Not only has Rodgers nose not stopped growing but neither has his arrogance - his communication with the press has been a continued embarrassment for everyone associated with the club. A nice guy he might be but his tactics have failed the club. Alan Sugar has ridiculed him because of his £100M statement about Spurs - that reflects badly on Liverpool. I understand efforts have been made in the past two weeks to have him think before he talks.

I have explained the need for FSG to take advice and have a full independent review conducted (And they are part way through that process). Then they need to decide on a way forward which will include changes to management staff. But the club cannot face a complete refresh of the playing staff and another year or two in transition again. Other clubs move on seamlessly changing the manager, coaches and two, three or four players per year.

I am not entirely convinced by some of the suggested names to replace Rodgers and would like to understand better the changes the owners wish to make to the overall organisation before getting in to who might be the best choice.}
