Regarding Pepe Reina.

When the owners came in, they came in with the primary target of creating financial stability. They highlighted a number of players that they wanted off the wage bill to help reduce the amount of loss that the club was making. Pepe Reina was one of those players.

Does anyone remember Rodgers saying he took Pepe for a meal to discuss the possibility of adding competition for his position?

Fair enough Pepe expressed his desire to join Barcelona if the opportunity were to arise but when the move didn't materialise Reina said he was happy to stay and compete with a new keeper.

So why did Rodgers and the club not do what they said they were going to do, which was keep both Reina and Mignolet at the club? Because they had no intention of doing that.

The club acted deviously in order to force him out of the club, and there is no covering it up. Some posters are totally one sided and are too ignorant to look at the issue from both perspectives.

Yes, Pepe wanted to move to Barcelona and yes, the club wanted him gone. There were faults on both sides, but I am not going to ignore that just because I love the club.

There is no need for the disrespect shown by some posters and I am quite sick of reading all this abuse towards a former player.

Some of you are a disgrace.
