Well if you believe the papers today, (which I don't), the following is happening:

Salah: El Desmarque in Spain have said that Real Madrid plan to offload Bale and are confident that £150m is enough to get the Egyptian.

Mane: Various Spanish papers say that Barcelona are planning on negotiating with Edwards over Sadio. The Coutinho clause being well discussed and played down as not an issue to stop the Spaniards making an offer.

Firminho: Bayern, Bayern, Bayern. German papers (picked up by the Echo) are saying that Bayern have made contact with Bobbys representatives and £75m is the expected amount we would take for the player should a bid be welcomed.

It seems that this is what the rest of the season and summer will be like for us, constant speculation on all three.

1/ Do the Ed's think that there is a chance that there will be movement on any of these stories or are they destined to be fantasy?

2/ If we lost ALL 3 (we won't, a fantasy question for fellow fans and Eds if they are bored), which 3 players within our financial capabilities would you have replace them?

{Ed002's Note - The fans want new forwards and are obsessing about other players - so Liverpool will need to make space in the squad to bring the likes of Sancho, Werner and Mbabbe in. Liverpool cannot keep adding players without making space as has been explained over and over again. In all seriousness:
Roberto Firmino (F/LW) Bayern see RF as a versatile forward who can play on the left or through the middle but they have other priorories, so nothing is likely to happen. A way down the list but discussed not only as a potential Thomas Muller replacement but also as an option to Leroy Sane (as Firmino primarily played on the left wing for Hoffenheim).
Sadio Mane (W/F) Real Madrid are still looking at a major revamp and are using Eden Hazard on the LW which was not their plan. They have plans to bring in a specific RW/S in mind and a couple of alternatives but are likely to hold on to Asensio who they would rather let move on once fully fit - which he may not have proven by the summer. They have a bunch of senior players they have available for horse trading, particularly James Rodriguez, Isco and Bale and will look to include them in any deal. I am not aware of any direct approach to the clubs for Mane or indeed Sterling at this time and it sounds rather speculative that they would go down that route - but they will be in thir thoughts as it is not working out for Vinicius Jr at this time either. Mane is also seen as a possible Neymar replacement by PSG and by Barcelona as an option to Neymar.
Mo Salah (RW) has been offered, by his "agent", to Real Madrid and others on several occasions but a move to Real Madrid is unlikely after they have kicked out his agent out over ridiculous demands on more than one occasion - but player still feels that this might be his best chance to move to Real Madrid and he wants to be there new poster boy who they have not replaced since Ronaldo left - hence Salah holidaying witha professional photographer and upping his profile considerably. There have been further attents to tempt Madrid by offering up lesser demands. PSG have also been approached as they will need a replacement for Neymar, and previously Juventus has been approached. Recenntly talks have again happened with Barcelona who see Salah as an option to Neymar. But it is Real Madrid that the player clearer desires.}

Interesting as always Ed002.
The club will obviously be aware of Salah’s desire to move and his agent’s attempts to broker a deal.

Tricky situation for LFC as we’d need to be looking at alternatives should the likes of Madrid decide, yes we want the player? Leaving it late with no planning and you end up like a situation United are in.

{Ed002's Note - It has been going on for at least two years. The club are, as you say, well aware of the situation.}

Thanks Ed, I appreciate you have been steadfast on that info for months so I knew it all already thanks to you but hopefully this post can help with searching in the weeks/ months to come to save you repeating it as this is going to be the subject of the close season and summer as we know we won’t be getting excited over a star coming in unless one leaves (which I hope they don’t) .

so Mane, salah and Firminho leave for somewhere between £350m to £400m and we spend that on Sancho, Werner and Mbabbe what will coast us £400m+ that's a very active summer but at least we won't lose any of are forwards for African cup of nations. And we bring the age of the forwards down by good few years.
I just love paper talk all ready can't wait for the summer transfer window to open lol.

Salah, Werner, Firmino and Mane

OR

Hmmm - tell the poster boy he can go.

Ed002: re the Vinicious Jnr not working out bit, are you in a position to give more info? He seems to have a lot of potential. He was in and out of the game last night, but had some very good moments. He was certainly giving Man City a lot more to think about than Bale.

{Ed002's Note - Vinicius Jnr has been offered around to a number of sides. It has not been working out well for the player in Spain and Wolves have shown an interest in him but he would only be a second string to Diego Jota - and the asking price (circa €60M - although they may accept less) is seen as high. Arsenal have been approached but with Saka emerging on the left it is the issue of Pepe on the right and Aubameyangadingdong in the centre or left that needs the most consideration - but he shares and agent with Martinelli so there may be a discussion. Chelsea have also been approached as he would provide an option to Hudson-Odoi on the left allowing Pulisic to move to his more natural right side. Others have been approached but none would be in a position to look for more than a loan and Real Madrid need players gone to continue their rebuild.}

Salah will still be at LFC next season, if Real Madrid got Salah it would take their total strikers to 11, with the others being Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Lucas Vázquez, Luka Jović, Marco Asensio, Brahim Díaz, Mariano, Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo. It amazes me that Sancho is seen fit enough to replace Salah and his 90 goals in 140 appearances (as I write this)

I’d let Salah go he obviously is looking to move eventually.
