Hi eds,

Are you aware of the clubs plans for Chirivella in the summer? Seems he's had some sort of resurgence this season (at least from what I've seen during the cup matches) .

Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - A decision needs to be taken over Pedro Chirivella in the summer. There has been no indication that the club plans to play him - if he is in the first team squad he takes up one of the 25 available spaces, but is HG. He has been playing predominently as a DM in Premier League 2 but is more than capable of playing CM, but Curtis Jones is ahead of him in that role. So it is time for a decision to be made. I don't think the club have plans to sell him - but they will need to tell him what their plans are. Milner signing a new contract, Wijnaldum probably staying, the emerging Jones and the possible return of Grujic will make opportunities thin on the ground - and the lack of any prior playing time implies he may not be seen as trusted cover for Fabinho. But a good question.}

He will be sold.

Personally, I'd like Chiravella to be given a chance of a move to get some regular playing time. The only reason for keeping him is cover for Fabinho, and he deserves more than that.

I think Lallana and Keita will both leave this summer, but Jones deserves one of those places and I have a sneaky suspicion that Havertz may join. Hendo, Gini, Milner, Fab will all stay.

So best for Pedro to carve his niche elsewhere as I think he's a fantastic player, but just not better than the others we have.

BTW, I can also see Werner joining in place of Origi (sadly - he'll always have a place in my heart after his crucial goals! ) and I see us bringing in cover at CB to replace Lovren.

Pedro isn't even cover for Fabinho really. He plays the odd cup game, that's it. I'm not saying he isn't a decent player but he needs to play more than a few games. Sell him and watch him flourish for another club. Who knows, maybe he might return at some stage if he proves himself and Liverpool need his type of talent.

From the limited games i've seen him play, he looks tidy can pick a pass but is he good enough. Not for me. Release him so he can get his career on track.

I think his contract is up in the summer so don't know if we would get a fee. He is under 24, so perhaps we might? ed2 any idea?

{Ed002's Note - The only fee would be a Training Fee.}

We have tried to sell him a few times and even had bids accepted but he choose not to join those clubs. He will never break into Liverpool's first team.

Excuse my ignorance, are we talking tens of thousands or hundreds?

{Ed002's Note - Not an enormous amount but it is depending on time at the club and not on loan, age at which he joined etc.. Nobody will get rich off it.}

I’d like to see go somewhere like Bournemouth to be honest.

Given the HG situation, I could see the club wanting to keep him. IMO It will come down to Pedro's own willingness to stay given even Jones is above him in the pecking order. If Lallana and Shaqiri move on, maybe we'll just let our squad players take over those roles? Provided Wijnaldum signs a new contract (which I really hope he does) . I can't see the club bringing in loads of players in the off season but decisions must be made on Grujic and Wilson, who would certainly be ahead of Pedro too.
