A 1st team player. Would that mean a starter, or a someone for the 1st team squad. Because unless someone leaves we are not buying a player who would start in front of our first 11 (12 or 13) we already have. Think about it. Why would we replace any of the back 5, front 3, fabinho in cdm. So two midfield positions up for grabs and we've about 6 very good players wanting to fill them.

I am pretty sure that Ed002 has said all window he expects us to go for a AM who can also provide cover for the front three. Until something changes don't expect daily updates.

TBH we should be praising the club as it clearly is very difficult to get information regarding transfers. so instead journos throw out drivel or vague guesses in the hope of being right or people to click on their stories.

to be fair to alexdavies1993 Chris Bascombe, did say Liverpool are likely to add a first team player, he actually wrote "Liverpool plan to make a first-team signing in this transfer window and despite Klopp’s description of returning players as ‘like new arrivals’ a little freshening up would be reassuring. "

I'd imagine Roy is referring to the extremely well publicised physical nature of the game and the red card shown to a Sevilla player for a horror tackle on one of our players.
