Apparently Milan are interested in Lovren is there any truth in this?

{Ed002's Note - Lovren (CB) seen as a cheap option to preferred targets given the significant issues there are in Milan.}

Lovren is valued at 25 million apparently. And, if I remember correctly, AC Milan are in a poor financial situation. I don't see this happening.

Lovren is a capable 3rd or 4th option and I suspect he would be happy to be used as such for at least a season. He seems to really like Liverpool, is close friends with a number of players (Particualrly Salah) and is coming off a Champions League winning season. I doubt there would be much reason to leave.

If he does go, who would be an adequate replacement? They would need to be prepared to wait on the sides, while Matip, Gomez and Van Dijk stand ahead of the queue for those two spots. Fry, possible, but it would do little for his career. Fry needs to be playing games, not sitting on the bench of a top team, watching his career wither away.

If Lovren does leave then, ideally, we would need to target someone older, whose prepared to train hard but with full knowledge that they may be used sparingly.

Personally, I hope Lovren stays. Decent player who just needs to overcome these constant injuries, similar to Gomez.

Think it would be good business for Liverpool if interested in de ligt. Vvd clear first choice Gomez often deployed at right back and matip a solid rotation option. Be interesting if this has legs. Lovren is a quality cb until he makes a mistake and then he can be calamitous. Also heard a rumour that he suffers with on going back problems don't know if there's any truth to that.

I'd snatch their hands off personally if there is any truth in this. I'd say Lovren was the worst of the CBs in our first team squad and at his age we should be looking to move him on.

If he left we could possibly promote Hoever to 4th choice. Ideal opportunity for him to develop.

{Ed002's Note - He is a child and count train full time.}

ed002 what's your take on Lovren would he be looking to move and would the club be looking to move him on.
He turns 30 next month so if a bid of £25m came in I think the club would be very silly to turn it down. As he has slipped down the pecking order.

{Ed002's Note - Neither.}

If a 25m bid comes in, we'll sell Lovren, no doubt about it. We wouldn't get 25m for Matip and he's the better of the two. I think we'd bring in a younger player to improve and grow into the role, rather than an older one.
