TRANSFER RUMOURS

I haven't really seen us linked with any significant names this year which is the first time in a while. Has anyone got any knowledge of who we are looking at for the summer?

Memphis Depay.

You said you wanted a rumour - he is certainly not who I want!

I look at the Depay thing and think here is a talented player who was discarded by United too quickly and mismanaged by them with who has started showing he’s a very good player with a point to prove. Much like a certain Mr Salah. I’m pretty sure he’d be happy working under Klopp surrounded by familiar faces such as van Dijk and Wijnaldum and he’d be a success. And where better to rub United’s nose in it than here?

I have heard the following .

Jay Dasilva - Young left back from Chelsea on loan with Bristol City with those having first option on him apparently but another English lad.
Adrien Rabiot - The PSG player but Eds have more substantial info that he is off elsewhere, still sticking to my sources.
Danny Wellbeck - I just heard about this late last night - he is on a free and used to being a squad player and does give us options up front and is English.

I thin the lack of names is due to who is leaving, I mean we have Champions League football next season so we are in a great place from a recruitment point of view - not sure how the accountant sees it though.

{Ed025's Note - im sure that ED01 will be delighted that danny wellbeck it being linked to you KC, i think hes a big fan mate.. :)

Hi Ed025 - Wellbeck is a wild one and I must admit but put a smile on my face once I heard it as my mate talked about it as if he was stone cold sober . but he is a decent squad player if he can stay fit.

Welbeck makes zero sense as he is a poor version of Origi.

I’d rather we kept origi than wasted time with a crock like Welbeck.

I can't see us going for depay, albeit he has some really positive attributes but he has no sense of defensive responsibility which all three of our current forwards relish putting him out of klopps radar for me. Plus I think it may also be time for his contract renewal and wouldn't surprise me if his agent or 'entourage' have been talking to local media. I love the 'entourage' phrase the media use. Footballers haha. How many assistants do these people honestly need?
Sorry, I digress. Back to business, so, welbeck? Really? Come on. We may as well keep Studge if we want an English sicknote with some OK to good YouTube footage.
I'd like fullbacks for either side or somebody who can cover both sides equally as good. I'm not convinced by wan bissaka or sessegnon tbh. I think due to their names appearing in the media regularly makes them safe bets for a lot of fans, having said that they are young and do have great potential but the figures being mentioned are crazy for players who positionally leave a lot to be desired and having no international or European experience.

Memphis Depay I could understand, as he moved to united too soon and was not ready for the step up.
Danny Welbeck?, must mean Sturridge is leaving and there is a place in the treatment room available.

Greenflash totally agree with you on welbeck but depay, yes he probably did move too soon but he turned us down in the same transfer window for utd and I just don't think he has learnt about the other side of the game, the boring stuff that isn't flashy but just as important, especially to a klopp type player. The fight and spirit in this current team is what I believe is our greatest strength added with the individual qualities. Hendo and milner changed the saints game due to their fight and verbal aggression that lifted the other players. Depay has neither of these qualities in my book.
