Is Julian Brandt still an option in the summer. Would be a really good addition.

{Ed002's Note - If he were available Liverpool might be interested if the price is good, but it difficult to see where he would fit in. There is a little interest from elsewhere which has been shunned because of playing time.}

It think he would be a brilliant addition for a rotation with the front three and in midfield. He has tremendous potential to be world class in my opinion. I'd love to have him with liverpool.

I agree he would be great across the front and I think he would be used a lot more and the other threee rested more. Type of player we need to come in for me.

An upgrade on Sturridge and Origi. Brandt and Brewster would be more than able replacements.

Plus we have Grujic to return next season and still Chamberlain to come back.

I like him in the midfield, really plays to his strengths on the ball though he'd be fantastic cover for the wings as well. Great player with a buyout clause that makes him incredibly appealing.

Issue is the player is prioritising game time (can't blame him) and while he'd definitely get a fair bit of playing time at Liverpool, I don't think it would be anything close to what he's after (first team week in, week out) .

Brilliant signing if we can make it happen. Quality cover for Mane (who operates more as a playmaker than winger anyways which would suit Brandt to a tee) and he will get plenty of game time in midfield as well. We need quality players like Bradt to allow for rotation, changing tactics between games and push the current players to perform even better.

I agree IB he would be a top addition and would get plenty game time. The front 3 need competition and he would provide that and all 4 could play in some games as well. I would consider sell Shaq as well, Brandt would be an upgrade IMO.

Agree about Shaq mark. He is already struggling to get on the pitch ahead of Lallana and Origi. If we get someone like Brandt and Wilson impresses in pre season along with OX returning, it spells bad news for Shaq. The midfield will be completely stacked, Shaq is not good enough to displace any of our front 3 players and let's not forget he was signed only after the Fekir deal fell through.
Shaq's already had issues at previous clubs and left due to insufficient game time. If we can double what we paid for him last summer and Klopp is willing to let him go to fund the transfer of a player like Brandt (who imo is an upgrade with a much higher ceiling), then moving him on makes sense.

Ageed mark.

Did I just say that? :) .

I can see Brandt going to Bayern over Liverpool, I don’t think he’d make the move to be a back up. which he would obviously be for you. As for selling Shaqiri: you’d be mad! He was the perfect squad signing and can keep that going, he knows his place in your squad and is proven in making the difference when called upon. One of the best signings of anyone last year IMO.
