Hello all! I really do believe that we have a squad to be at least in the top 4 every season but for me what we really need is a cup win. Yes I know it's the league we want but a cup win would I believe would really get the ball rolling for us.

Agree Barry, it's time for us to win a trophy.

Make you right BIL about winning a cup will give us that winning mentality which we sorely miss.

Totally agree, we've got to break that ice somewhere along the line.

Good point but I really think we will win the league this year. After the strides we made last season I think we’ve recruited far better than any other team. I really think city are going to be caught out big time this year. I think there will be far less of a fear factor.

This is the longest trophy drought I remember,7 seasons a season longer than the last. Any trophy will do me this season. In 13 years we've won 1 trophy for me that's not good enough. I hope we can juggle the squad enough to compete on 4 fronts. That means staying in the cups so that our young players can get a run in the team and be ready when called upon. Towards the end of last season we had Camacho Woodburn and Jones on the bench but I can understand Klopp's reluctance to use them especially after the Chelsea match when every game was a must not lose.

When we win the league, the flood gates will open methinks.

It’s fair to say we are hopeful of a win this year. Perhaps silverware is highly possible. But iwe our unrealistic pressures on ourselves by saying we will win this year. The players haven’t set foot on the pitch, transfers aren’t over the line, injuries could happen or hopefully not. I really do think the Premier League has evolved into such an interesting league! We now have a top 6 divide which rests on a knife edge, underdog teams like Leicester possible of winning the league with pure grit and now teams like Wolves who have the potential to re-establish themselves as a force in the league from a lower league. Sadly a lot of this is down to spending power in my opinion but who wins the league each year is not so foreseeable!
Whether we can get silverware or more depends on how we play game to game (obviously) so let’s keep on backing our team for a tasty season of attacking football and hope we’re rewarded at the end of it!

Agreed. Let's forget the league title and go after the league cup.

Seriously what difference does it make!

Let's go after every game next season.

I saw a post from MKS the other day relating to our "success" and nearly responded stating "how have we been successful? we've not won anything since Klopp's arrival! ". then I realized success is "the accomplishment of an aim or purpose".

We aimed to improve our squad - accomplished (and still improving! )

We aimed for top 4 - accomplished in back to back seasons

Now our aim has to be to get that silverware! - I'm aware we have tried and failed on 3 occasions in finals : (

Let make 2018/ 2019 the year for silverware!

It's going to be a long season with lots of games. It is important to remember we won't win them all. So please do not rip the team / club to shreds when we do loose.

{Ed033's Note - What should Liverpool FC do if there are any loose shreds? :)
