Hello Eds,

What is the situation with Sturridge, obviously the club would like to offload him. Is it the price tag the club want or his wages? My assumption is the club would not replace him if he left either.

{Ed002's Note - if he were to leave he would need to be priced at a level where it would be acceptable and, critically, he would have to have realistic wage demands. I don’t see him going anywhere just for the money nor anywhere he doesn’t want to be. Injuries mean it will be hard for clubs to sign up for what might be a risk.}

Both Sturridge and Markovic are in similar positions in that they are both on good wages and the club want to recoup a lot of the outlay on both. Both will need to reduce wages as well.

I read the club had set their price for Studge at £15 mil. Thinking some club's would see him as a bargain at that price in the current market.

i am very surprised with studgers injury management. he is just not able to keep fit. must be terribly frustrating for a player.
cant do much if you are not playing.

Pretty sure Markovic is only on 35k, but Studge is on around 120k, both need to go though.

$15 mil a bargain price? Th guy has played less than 50 games in 3 seasons including 5 min sub appearances. He’s on 100k a week at least. Just to get someone to take him off our hand at his wages will be a win.

While DS was desperately unhappy and wanted to leave for some time.
He now wants to stay.
I don't Know why he changed his mind but that is an ITK fact.
