Any update on Brewster signing a new long term deal?

I was under the impression that Brewster had already signed a new long term contract very recently. 5 years apparently. I suspect the club has given Brewster assurances that he will get opportunities in the first team this season.

Either way, we will need to have a significant clear out of current strikers to fit him in. We already have Firmino, Origi, Sturridge, Solanke, Ings and a couple of others who can play in that position. I wonder who, and how many, will have to leave.

To clarify, the reports are that a new deal has been agreed - presumably between Brewster, his representatives and Liverpool.

It hasn't actually been signed yet, but is expected to be signed within the next few days.

Well i assume we can rule out Sturridge and Ings as they are both been told to look for new clubs.

I believe Origi will be given pre-season to push and show that he still has what it takes to be in the team, luckily for him he isn't at the world cup so can try to impress in the early stages.

Solanke is a difficult one, he showed last year he can be a decent option, however a full year on loan playing regularly could be the catalyst he needs to push on and fulfil his potential.

If Brewster has signed a long term contract then yes that does mean he will be promoted to the first team squad, pre injury he was knocking on the door to get some game time. however he still has a long way to being fully fit!

It's clear Sturridges days are numbers, likely Origi too. Wouldn't be surprised if Ings left, and if not Solanke and/ or Brewster himself could go out on loan.

Has Ings been told to look for another club?
