If the rumours on Shaqiri are true I think its a flip of a coin on being a good or bad signing.

Maybe he would flourish in a team of better quality and move forward. he has the potential and would be a good option for cover.

In the other hand he could be a fail and damage the dressing room.

He was at Bayern Munich and didn't flourish because he thought he was too good to be sitting on the pine. I doubt he would want to do the same now that he is at an age that he should be in his prime. (And it rhymes)
I don't think he's for us either way.

I’d rather put the money, wages, agents fees towards a top keeper or a CB.

I understand the club isn’t looking to buy a CB but for me, if VVD gets injured, we’re back to square one with Lovren Klavan and Matip. Our Achilles heel forca number of seasons.

Yes we have Fabhino to give more protection to the back 4 but set pieces and corners will still be a concern.

Just my opinion of course.

We can't keep saying if so and so is out we only have this and that. That's the same for every teat. If city lost Kdb it would have an effect. Can't have team of top players sittin in reserve just in case of injuries.

Are you for real? Tell me what top CB’s we have outside of VVD? Lovren, Matip and Klavan are all back up standard.

Why do i remember Shaqiri turning us down the year before he went to Stoke? If we weren't good enough for him then why should we rescue his career.

Whether the sherdan shaqiri rumour is true or not i feel for the price in todays market he's a potential bargain.
He has everything in his locker skill and ability wise, he just need guidance to stay focused and apply himself.
Pretty much what klopp has done with the OX and lots of people didn't want him signing.

There is quotes on the echo website from Shaqiri where he said he opted for Liverpool in 2014 but Bayern blocked the move.

I'd be very surprised if Klopp was interested in Shaqiri .
I really hope it's just rubbish paper talk.

The negative reactions toward Shaqiri have been borderline insanity. Great talent at a great price. Huge upgrade over Ings in terms of fit and ability, and give us much needed depth that can score from the wings. Klopp has zero time for bad personalities, so if he's good to go with him then I'm excited. Some of you guys are being way too hard on a guy who occasionally struggled at Stoke. That club had a lot of dysfunction during his time there, and he seemed to mostly soldier on. Nobody is perfect. Give the guy a chance. He can be great for us.

This is Ed001 opinion of Shaqiri which he gave in April this year. I think he manages to express his opinion of the player well enough not to leave any doubt where he stands on him.

{Ed001's Note - he won't come off the bench. You aren't reading what I said. He is an arrogant arse who thinks he is too good to sit on a bench, even though he is not that good. Certainly not even half the player he thinks he is. }

I would say his potential price of 12mil+ that is being rumored makes an easy decision not to buy him more difficult.

Shaquiri seems to be cheap paper talk from lazy journos copying each others "exclusives" if he comes here I am moving to the Stoke page.

It's not difficult. He's a slow overweight barge with a few tricks, big attitude and bigger ego. He's been a trouble causer at club and international level.
