Ed, with the exception of Can, are there any first team players you feel may be likely to leave?

I personally think we could build a great squad if we keep our best players, but they must be in the sights of other clubs too.

A keeper, full back and a player to push for a place in attack (in case of injury) and we should have a solid season next year.

{Ed001's Note - Lallana.}

Fair enough, I did hope he would come back strong. Not sure how much we could get for him at the . moment, or if he could get a good deal for himself until he proves fitness?

I think Lallana both doesn’t want to retire at Liverpool and also isn’t good enough for our starting 11, for the sake of both sides I think he should get an opportunity elsewhere.

Do you think its likely Ings will stay Ed? I hope he does, he's got a great attitude on the pitch and he's a decent player.

{Ed001's Note - it is up to him to decide what he does, so difficult to say.}

Lallana was instrumental to us when Klopp arrived as he taught the team how to press and turnover the ball high up the field. He was like Firmino is to us now, in that he was the trigger and the high energy player that scared the life of out the opposition when they were in possession. Hats off to him for being a key figure in those early days and setting the tone.

As time has gone by though, and we’ve brought in players more suited to Klopp’s style of play (eg. Benteke and Sturridge out, Firmino, Salah and Mane in), Lallana has become less and less instrumental as the team itself has evolved, and every in the team now able to play that way.

While he’s still a great player, he’s not the catalyst he once was, and his one notable weakness (IMO his tendency to slow the game down when in possession) has meant others like Ox (brilliant at carrying the ball forward at pace) have probably overtaken him in the pecking order.

I’d happily have him in the side next year again as a backup to Ox, but if he leaves then fair play to him and wish him well. He’s been a great player for the club.

Disagree with you on Lallana, Walter. He was good last year, undoubtedly, but we've changed the way we play since then. Our play is faster and quicker and far more direct. His constant dithering, turning pirouettes and doodling about with the ball would take us backwards. His major plus was the efficient pressing and regaining the football. We have others now who do it just as well.

When did Lallana ever scare an opposition? I’m pretty sure the only person who is scared of Lallana is Michael Flatley.
