Is Max Meyer still of interest ed to us? He not been mentioned for a bit that's all.

I have mentioned it yesterday (though it didn't got posted) he has fallen out with Schalke and ignored their contract offer. His agent offered him to Barcelona but they don't have interest as they are buying that Arthur guy from Brazil.

The last offer from Schalke he had wasnt enough for him (5mil € per Year) so its more or less a money thing with him rather than playing time. No hints on where he is going or where he had talks as of now in the german media.

{Ed001's Note - it was posted. Though it is incorrect as he has not fallen out with them as such, he is just not taking their contract offer and his agent cancelled a meeting at the last minute which annoyed the club. They would still be happy to have him stay though.}

Oh now I'm getting my hopes up. Always had a good feeling Meyer could play that holding role really well for us. Would be more than happy to have him replace Can. Better passer in my opinion.

I haven’t seen Meyer play, ever. Am I right in thinking he’s been playing the ‘number 6’ position that Hendo plays for us at the moment?

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what "the number 6 position" is but he has been playing as a midfield player. He wears the number 7 shirt number if I recall correctly, so perhaps he plays in the "number 7 position".}

Be a good signing for free. Midfield of Henderson Keita and Meyer would be nice with wiji, Lallana and ox rotating.

On a free I’d say he’d be a good, addition to the squad. We will be fighting on four fronts next season and the only definite midfielders that will be at the club next season are Henderson (but he does has injury issues), Wijnaldum, Chamberlain and Keita. Not enough for a full season in my opinion. One of Lallana or Milner could stay but both could easily leave too.

If we can bring in Meyer, Ceballos and say Lemar I’d be happy.

Well sounds promising if that is a position to make his own. Few stats (not that you can tell much from them) and an article of conjecture but then I don't watch the bundesliga really. I assume Klopp et al do and therefore, as there is previous interest at least, they will be taking notice. On a free? Might be worth a go. Any thoughts as to whether he would be worth it?
