No keita in the midfield? The world's most expensive sub then.

does keita not exist?

Personally I think Henderson is the main reason we were not as fluid and fast going forward today, he made a few decent through balls but he takes much longer on the ball and it looks slow and clumbersome compared to the rest. Karius looked good today off the ball, lots of communication which is promising for the rest of the season.

{Ed025's Note - i dont pretend to be hendo,s biggest fan jcw, but i thought he was as good as anybody today mate..

Nuetral on Hendo but I disagree and felt he played well today. Smart on the ball and disruptive defensively. Karius had little to do but he make a great save and the defense appears more comfortable with him.

Hendo did perfectly fine the same as every one. If anything it was him who raised the tempo and speedo of pass. The main reason we weren't as fluid was Newcastle. We aren't going to create 20 chances every game. 2 nil job done.

Hendo played very well today. Can wasn’t bad either, don’t agree that his head is elsewhere he seems fully committed and celebrates every goal we score with great passion. I for one hope he stays.

Im definitely not saying hendo was bad today, he wasnt, im saying I think he is the reason we weren't as fast flowing as we have been, just my opinion.

I was disappointed with Can today. I thought he slowed us down every time.

Ron I think Can tries to draw players in too much. He knows he's strong and capable of holding onto the ball or break free when a player tackles but then get caught a good bit.
Don't think he uses his strength enough either. Love when he drives at teams that sit back like today. very good at carrying the ball, breaking through a midfield garden and into more dangerous areas, hard to knock off it. Did it maybe once today.

I think Henderson makes us tick in the midfield and is more important to the way we play that any other midfielder.

He knows how Klopp wants to play and the front 3 know what he is going to do.

If he had been fit all season we would be much closer to City.

If he can stay fit next season, with Keita coming in alongside him, Ox starting to show what he can do, the front 3 we have, Karius looking more and more assured every game and some quality additions we'll have an amazing team on our hands.

I'm very excited.

What game were you watching Jcw_XS? Henderson did the exact opposite of slowing our play down, the second he got the ball he looked to keep it moving. Can was the chief culprit in slowing the play down, he constantly took 3 touches minimum before releasing the ball.

{Ed0333's Note - that’s three touches less than Can normally takes lol

In my opinion Can is our poor version of dembele, he isn’t as strong and can’t control the game as much as dembele but credit where it is due, he working hard for the team despite the inevitable move away from Anfield.

Oops. I forgot Keita is coming in this summer. Then I would bring in Ndidi (and forego Jorginho) and hope Henderson stays fit to take up the No. 8 role.

Kieta - Jorginho - Lemar.

They front three has been bailing out ever since Coutinho left and people singing we don’t need Coutinho replacement need a Doctor. Any team that makes a 5 men midfield against us and our creativity is pants. Let’s hope the front three carry us through out and finish the season on a high! We need a complete revamp to our midfield!

Oops. Forgot about Keita. LOL. Okay so we forego Jorginho and stay with a Ndidi, Henderson and Ox midfield.

Keita bench warming then?

I don't think Ndidi would be walking into our starting 11 if he comes. don't get me wrong, I think he's a cracking young player but whenever I watch him, he always seem to have those rush of blood to the head moments like yesterday when he almost cost Leicester a penalty.
