A question for Ed001 if I may,

do you know what's the plan for Milner this coming summer? Is he expected to move on or is it still too early to say?

{Ed001's Note - he would like to go somewhere he can play regularly though Klopp would like to keep him.}

Thanks for the reply Ed, much appreciated.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate, be interesting to see what happens with him in the summer as he really does not want to be a utility back up any more.}

I have a feeling he will be able to move on with Klopp's blessing in the summer with Ox replacing him as the utility back up. Just to have a rough idea, which teams are interested in Milner Ed?

{Ed001's Note - I don't know off the top of my head. Well I know Moyes would take him in a heartbeat, but, other than that, not sure.}

I do hope he stays. Having started the last 2 games and played brilliantly, including building a fantastic combo with Robbo and Mané on our left side, I'd consider him first choice for that midfield slot. A good run of games including plenty of starts will hopefully see him continue this great form and choose to continue at the highest level for one more season at least, instead of dropping down to mid-table or a relegation battle.

I fully assumed the idea of buying Ox was to replace Milner. I don't like a lot about what Milner brings but you cannot help but respect his attitude and his love of the game - a lot of players could have had much better careers than they ever got by following his examples and moving to where the games across his career.

Milner deserves lots of praise at the moment. We had just lost back to back games and Milner was recalled for the game agains't Huddesfield. Over the 5 games since the defeats he has been just about our best player. He has covered Robertson, he has created chances, tracked runners and given 100%.

5 games though is not a season, he simply isn't good enough to play in midfield for Liverpool over a season. He is on a massive wage and should be sold in the summer, he will have many takers. I do not look forward to Milner playing in midfield agains't the better teams, the best players make him look like a statue.

Milner has played 32 this season albeit some as a sub but i can't see him playing much more at another club and certainly not a top club. If i was him i would be more than happy to stay in the hope he might pick up a medal or two before he retires. I think there is space for an experienced old pro or two at the club.

Agree with Irish Rover above, but perhaps Milner will have an eye on who comes and goes in Summer.
Keita goes straight into the first team, Hendo, and then it's A. N. Other for the third place.
Milner could be looking at considerably less game time next season?

Doesn't matter if the ox was bought to replace milner if that was indeed the case.

If Milner playing well (which he is) then no reason to let him go in my opinion. He is a leader, winner and experienced role model which is most definitely good to have in and around the team.

Compliments the youth in the squad nicely.

Be a shame as Milly has been class of late and is always a great professional would be a loss to the squad that one, I hope we retain him but can understand his desire to play.

Would we let him leave for free or demand a fee, if we do let him leave for free my bet would be Leeds to finish his playing days at his boyhood club.

I would think Allardyce, Moyes, Pardew, Pulis, Lambert etc will love him.
