Any truth in Alderweireld rumours, he has a £24 million buy out clause and wants £150,000 per week?

If there’s any truth in it then it would be a great signing.

If there's any truth to it, I think it's almost certain another team will beat us to his signature. Plus from what I've read on here we have hsown no interest anyway which kind of shocks me. Having said all of this, there's still plenty time for him to sign another contract at Spurs, I think it's too early to say about him leaving Spurs right now.

There is no buyout clause in England. He won’t be sold for anything less than £50 mill and that is still a steal!

Real Madrid and Manchester United are the front runners.

BD- he’s 29 next week and very injury prone, no way would 50m be a steal. I really rate him but can’t see many queuing up to sign him for 50m.

Alderweireld could easily fetch 50 million £ and more, look at Bonucci who is 2 years older. Defenders could play for the same level much longer than a midfielder or a forward, CB's in general playing for top teams run around the least and cover the least distance.

He could give his next team 5 seasons of top performances and would be considered a bargain in the long run considering what defenders are starting to cost nowadays, 79 million € for van Dijk, 65 million € for Laporte. 45 million € for Bonucci and that was before the Neymar deal which made the market 30-40% more expensive!

And look at how that Bonucci transfer has worked out.

Maybe I'm wrong but hasn't he had some choice words to say about Liverpool before.
