I saw City being linked with Can now. I know he can’t sign a pre contract with them but let’s say he runs his contract down without signing for anybody. On the first day he is 'contractless', could an English side then sign him up or is there a cool off period?

He wouldn't get near their team and if he did I'd happily have him play against us. On his day he can be tremendous but he switches off to often in the game and yesterday he was our poorest player and looked dead on his feet.

As soon as he has no contract with us, he can sign for any club in the world not currently banned from signing players.
