Excellent player being ruined by spurs and England by playing him in an advanced role. He is a centre midfielder all day long . Similar physique to Gerrard at a similar age but he needs to play in his correct position soon or he will never reach his potential. Would be a great signing but silly money unfortunately.

To thinl Rodgers wanted him, VVD and Bertrand for buttons and wasn’t allowed to sign any!

How can people not rate him? He has scored 28 goals from midfield in the past 2 seasons whilst being aged 19 and 20. Genuinely the brightest prospect England have had in a long long time.

Totally agree with you Les. I still rate him very, very highly and think that him, with Keita and Ox in midfield could be moulded by Klopp into a great midfield. Reminds me so much of Gerrard.

Such a shame we will likely never get him as Levy will demand a price far beyond what his (albeit currently mis-managed) performances suggest. I doubt we will ever get a player from Spurs as Levy is always pricing them for the super-rich clubs, and fair play to him, he's doing best by his club. Only chance with Spurs players, imo, would be to get them cheaper than market value in the last few months of a contract (or at the end) like Aldereweild, for example!
