A mate of mine who lives in Germany has told me that we had scouts watching Karim Demerbay (spelling is probably wrong) of Hoffenheim very recently.

He is a Turkish-German lad who has turned out for Germany a few times. He's very technical and has wicked left footed free kicks. Not blessed with pace but can dribble well and a pretty powerful left foot.

I remember some of his indirect free kicks caused us problems (as well as our overly high line) in the Champions League play offs.

Not sure if this is a Lallana long term replacement being looked at if true, doubt it's to replace Coutinho but we'll see.

Kev I know exactly the guy your on about while he does stand out in his previous team I'm not sure he's what we need pal and I'm not sure how long he's been there would he have played there with Bobby?

i Think we looked into him in the summer if I remember correctly but he lost his form from last season. Tbf he had a good season last year, nothing more and I’d say he is a) not what we need and b) not good enough.

Also i don’t think he will develop into a great player anytime soon and his stats (14 games, 2 goals, 1 assist) aren’t the best for a offensive midfielder.

No worries guys.
Haven't seen enough of him personally, I'd be underwhelmed if we got him to tell the truth.
I could see he was quite technical and has good set pieces but after that, meh!
Would rather a more physically gifted player personally to fill a Central Midfielder role.

Meant the alleged Barkley letter ed025, you were a touch upset about the transfer the other day. Everton have been had over there by the looks of it?
