Hi Eds, one name that seems to have dropped out of the news is Dani Cebellos. I remember he wanted to move since he was not getting much playing time and Real Madrid were looking to move. Monaco have made it abundantly clear that there is no intention to sell Lemar this January. Is Cebellos still a viable option for us and if so would the signing of a creative midfielder this window end any pursuit of Lemar, Goretzka, and Meyer. I am sure others would have to move on since we already have a congested midfield. Cheers Eds.

{Ed002's Note - As I have explained there has been a discussion with his agent - but that is it.}

Not you HARRY THE RED
But I swear some fans are more interested in who we sign rather than how we play or the results
I couldn’t care less if we didn’t sign anyone else this window as long as we win .
It’s a team game the loss of 1 of the team is a blow especially how good he was ( on his day )
But it’s a team game and I hope someone else steps in and does a great job and a 100% committed job to boot

Come on the reds.

DHFC like everyone I am curious to know who we sign. In all honesty I am not heart broken over Coutinho leaving, the player did not want to be there so I am glad he is gone. The antics of back aches and so forth are damaging to the locker room and team. If I was someone who is on the bench it would unsettle me that there is this guy starting who does not want to be here.

Coutinho is great talent and it would be foolish for me to say we could do way better. There were aspects of his game I did not like, such as when he lost the ball he would immediately give up and not chase back. He would hog the ball and not pass when he should, he scored some crackers for the club. However he was always taking those far out shots instead of keeping possession and building up. Not blasting the player becaus he is gone, he was a great player for the club and as far I am concerned anyone who put the kit on and gave all for the club deserves the respect of the supporters. We have to just start understanding it is the way the game works and there are not many one club players anymore.

Players come and players go, but the bird is always here.

Sounds like my wife.

Couldn’t agree more HARRY
He will be missed creatively and his goals and assist will be missed but it’s time those on the bench who are unhappy at game time stepped up showed us fans why their at such a great club like ours . Also agree on when possession broke down coutinho offered nothing at all maybe this will help the midfield out now he’s gone .
I too keep an eye on this page as I like knowing the targets I like to watch certain players that the eds have mentioned only to see what I think of them but as long as the team win I couldn’t care less who scores or how many .

Agreed DHFC, Leicester is an example of players who want to be there and give all for the club. I feel that Mahrez was the leader of the discontent in the locker room and you saw what it did to the team.

Scoring goals was not our issue, keeping them out was. VVD is here and already shown he is solid player in the back. You saw him taking leadership, providing Karius with instruction and giving Matip confidence to playing higher up in defense. I would rather they pocket the money till the summer than make a desperation buy like Balotelli or Carroll.
