Sky Sports saying that they have looked into the Mahrez story and have been told (suggested by sources at the club? ) that Liverpool are not interested in Mahrez, there has been no contact between Liverpool and Leicester and that Leicester would want more than the c£50m reported for him.

It goes on to say that we are looking for an attacking midfielder this window, just not Mahrez.

Maybe laying that story to rest for now?

Still interested if we can find someone to inject some magic who is no CL cup tied.

If we went for Mahrez he wouldn't be cheap at all. I think his contract runs until 2020 and Leicester turned down some big bids from Roma in the summer.

I hope the club has a clear plan of who they are going for to replace Pipco. It would be unforgivable if they sold him without a contingency plan in place.

Exactly Sandman, all the people suggesting he would be a cheap alternative are deluded. Leicester will ask more from us than Roma etc because we’re in the same league and have just got a massive fee for Couts.
