Do the eds still think we will sign a defender in January please?

{Ed002's Note - It is diffucult to say about timings of transfers with any certainty, but the club has been looking at defenders.}

seeing vvd not playing for saints gives me hope that he is being looked after to make sure the deal doesn't fall through. Spending 60 mil on a cb is going to be a bit of a waste if we don't sort our keeper out. migs might point at a fair number of clean sheets but that is only because the team are so good we don't give the opposition a chance on goal. migs hasn't found the form of last year, ivelost faith completely.

Shipping Migs out of the club has become a bigger priority than signing a defender right now. We need to make sure Misg never wears the LFC jersey again. He will cost us big time this season if he continues.

Superred its been said that its very unlikely we will return for VVD mate. Unless there is a change of heart fro. Saints to sell to us. It seems we have moved on to other CB's now. Would that be about right ed as to were we are at?

I think we’ll be priced out of a deal for VVD anyway in Man City are after him. I’ve been impressed with Christopher Schindler at Huddersfield he’s been a bit of a rock for them. A good ball playing CB like Martinez from sociedad and I think we’d be set.

VVD is off to City, forget that one. Not convinced that someone like Schindler is of the sufficient quality, nor Gibson either. I’d rather we went for Laporte at Bilbao than Martinez, as Martinez is poor in the air and at 5’11 he’s going to be no use against the long ball teams.

That’s why a player like Schindler should be brought in, an old fashioned big defender to deal with the aerial bombardments and the big centre forwards. I think a defender like Martinez would complement him. When teams smell blood and we’re on the verge of collapsing as we tend to do even after building a lead a defender like Martinez along with the keeper (Karius) and DM of Xabi Alonso ilk (illaramendi) maybe get the ball on the ground and they keep it for as long as necessary to calm things down. Just my tuppence worth that’s probably not klopp’s style in fairness.
