There should be a definite and genuine reason the player is worth X amount of money and by chance if that reason is Quality then he should PLAY! Ward is a victim of Klopp stubbornness / stupidity. Nothing to do with MONEY. He should have had the balls to sell one of Migs / Karius and kept Ward as 2nd.

I think more of different prospective to the op. More like we paid this much for someone we need to play him, or it was just a waste of funds, is the more common though.

We have improved hugely going forward under Klopp but the defence still do not know where to be at any given moment. We've always defended well against the top sides as we pressure them into mistakes all over the park. With one man down though the press won't work as they will always have a spare man and play around the press so we stopped pressing and tried to sit in against City. That showed up a huge lack of basic defensive positioning from the whole back 5. How can Jesus be completely unmarked 5 yards out right in front of goal when you're playing with 3 CB? That should never happen surely?

Mate, we're 4 games in and higher in the table than we were last year. I agree the defence and GK situation needs addressing but, it's too early to start doubting Klopps credentials. Once the defence is sorted, he has the know how to win trophies. There has to be reasons, he isn't thick.
