I hope not. Waste of money, terrible player.

If Coutinho does go we should definitely sign Lanzini from West Ham - we have been linked to him in the past - very similar to Coutinho great dribbling at pace, good freekicks and can only get better at Liverpool where there's more quality.

Lanzini? What are you smoking? That's like selling a Ferrari and buying a Yugo Zastava and expecting the same performance.

I think lanzini would be a decent signing.

Klopp won't sign a player just for 3 months though.

Was the same on her when make went to afcon.

My thoughts exactly bbb
Hope couts stays but wish him well if he leaves agree we need a class striker who is not injury prone however attacking mid field is our strongest position in strength and depth i know mingnolet had a decent 2nd half of the season but he is still a worry to me but we support who ever wears the badge.

There is no one out there that can replace Couts' influence on the pitch. Nobody. Not Gylfi, Lanzini, Meyer, Rakitic (an insult really as Ciots is twice the player any of these clowns will ever be, IMO) or whoever. He needs to be kept at all costs at least for one more season.

Woluwe makes me laugh when people mention Rakitic as a suitable signing. He's not been a decent player for at least two years and is in serious decline.

I am a massive coutinio fan but I honestly think he is over rated here. He scored 14 goals last season not 44. When he starts scoring the amount of goals that messi and Ronaldo do then you can validate the 130 million pound price tag that reds fans have put on him. He has the potential to be one of the very best players in the world but he isn't quite there yet. Again, he wasn't our best player last term, 30 million pound mane was imo. You can score an over head kick from a cross cut back from the byline and you can score a tap in from a keepers dropped save, they are still counted the same. My point is, coutinio is great to watch, amazing style of play but a goal is a goal and last season bournmouths king scored more goals than Phil did.

Just read report of a 120 million offer. That will be hard to turn down. Hope we do though. Reports that it took just 45 minutes to turn down last offer worries me even though it is supposed to have the opposite effect. 45 minutes means there was some sort of discussion. "No, sorry" takes seconds. I like Phil though, and I don't think he wants to leave us in trouble. As much as I don't like to admit it, I think he is going to leave sooner or later. I think he will give us enough time to sort out replacements and generally get ready for life without him.
