Hi Ed002, 2 years ago you mentioned a young River Plate player who moved last year to Lyon. and FINALLY LFC are said to be trying to sign him for around £15m. Any truth in the new Emanuel Mammana whispers going around?

{Ed002's Note - Best question of the day - this was a real target before and I would need to check. If you have heard anything it has passed me by but is very viable.}

Any more info on this lad Ed? What position does he play? How old is he? Is he highly rated? I will be honest I've never heard of the lad so any info would be appreciated.

Sorry, that was last season's stats, now 75 with potential of 86 - same potential as VVD. Not THAT's the clincher, lol!

From Wiki, he's a 21 year old Argentinian CB who moved to Lyon in 2016. Played 17 games for them last season. Has got 3 full caps for Argentina, as well as youth caps. Looks to be quick, but that's only based on FIFA, lol! If you're interested, rating of 72 with potential of 86!

Apparently, according to 'The Sport Review', the player is holding out discussing anything with the club until Liverpool and Lyon have reached an agreement, following Liverpool's €17m bid.

Sensible boy, wants to avoid any more tapping up issues. I like him already!

Absolute beast on footy man. A proper steal.

Ed002 is usualy spot on with him doubts and pros about a player.

This would be a good move based on those points alone.

{Ed002's Note - He is a CB at Lyon.}

You are going to be asked this 300 times a day now.

Hendos heel. Emanuel Mammana is 21 years old and a central defender that can also play at right back. In some ways he reminds me of Mascherano. He's comfortable on the ball in defensive pressure positions and has a fairly good footballing brain that would have been more at home in a midfielder (which is why I think of Masch) . he's fairly good in the air as well.

Best CB on the last two years FM. Therefor we should sign him.

This would end interest in any other centerbacks surely.

Does he call his mother
Mama Mammanna?

Lets hope he is nothing like masch then reynard. Good footballing brain is not something you associate with masch.

Simply if we carry on in this manner you can forget toast . This transfer window will be more like "brown bread"
For I think the eighth time in two years I'm posting. policy and who ever is in charge of our transfer approach need making accountable. Not good enough, Not acceptable .

Would he need a work permit?

{Ed002's Note - Of course.}

Hard to see how it will PAN out.

WE will do well if We Use our LOAF

WE need to get on a ROLL

The league is our BREAD and butter.

Hopefully we wll get a SLICE of luck.

Hope the window is like brown bread. Healthy for our title prospects, filling in terms of the squad depth and tasty in terms of quality.
The 2 signings we've made so far seem quality. Let's be patient and allow the loaf to rise, so to speak.

Sounds excellent. Forget Southampton and their 70 million price tag. Dreamers. We've paid their wages for three years and they treat us like dirt. Do one. 16 mil for promising ball playing beast of a young centre back.

Could grow into a fine defence. Hope we batter Southampton this season four times. Their gk giving it all that to Milner and he missed. Want Phil to curl one in bottom corner and sturridge with a brace znd mani and salah on sheet too.

Depends what you mean by "a footballing brain" masch could break opposition attacks and find a red shirt. Barely played a poor pass (most passes were no more than ten feet) he could slow down games and also slot em in the bottom corner. Went to Barcelona dilakh2 I think he did have a good footballing brain although not the most creative. Imo you need both sorts of player in title winning midfield.

He was a good defensive mid jonny but his lack of footballing brain limited any other role he could play. Hence why Barcelona shoved him at cb were even there he is rubbish.

{Ed007's Note - You can't beat a good defensive mid jonny, they give much needed extra protection compared to those ultra thin ones that just rip when you try to stretch it on.}
