Ed01 I am hearing a lot of Naby kieta here as well as in news i wanna hear your views do u believe as it is looking like we will sign kieta and pay such a huge money to bring him this season
Wanna hear from your sourcesand urside
Thanks and appreciate your hardwork.

{Ed001's Note - I really have no idea whether or not we will pay enough to get the move done. There is certainly the desire to make a deal from the club, but I have no idea whether there is the potential funding available to make a deal happen.}

Personally, I think our weakest player last season was Origi followed by Clyne.
Our midfield was decent and we have a lot of good players there.
Though Kieta would be a great signing but CM is not a pressing need.

I agree with ed. If we can get the price closer to 50M mark then there is a chance but I can't see us and wouldn't want to us to pay over the odds for a player. I know it is crazy market but we need to work harder, and better to compete.

The funding is there no question. Its whethr the club want to put a huge portion of hat budget on one player. My opinion is to go for it. I would be happy with Keita and a left back now and wait until January and see where we are.

Ed001, do you feel that any Keita deal mesns the Ox is not happening, or not related?

{Ed001's Note - unrelated, Ox depends on whether he decides to stay with Arsenal or not. Which does seem unlikely with his agent. He will only look at $$ signs, rather than what is best for the player's career, so I doubt he will stay put unless Arsenal offer a massively increased contract.}

Ok mate cheers.

03 Jul 2017 18:21:07
Ed, do you have an opinion on whether he's worth the investment?

{Ed001's Note - Keita? No idea. I very much doubt anyone is worth the money being asked when we need fullbacks as a priority. If central midfield was the priority, then maybe, but it's not.}

There is my issue, Ed. We don't have issues at CM hence, Keita is a more than a luxurious signing as none of our current mids will be leaving at least that we know of and we have issues elsewhere in the team that need addressing ASAP. I know many will use the "we need depth" argument and I hear that BUT at 70m? For just one player who is like it or not, unproven in Europe? Sorry, that is just some fairy dust.

I too, don't see where a deal can be done esp. for 70m as that is just madness esp. cos RBL don't want to sell and them putting 70m on NK was to kill any interest from other clubs, not cos they think he's worth it (no palayer is as you are worth what someone will pay for your services) .

I've just feel that if we are pushing for Keita then maybe Hendersons injury is a lot worse than we are being told.

Henderson's injury, can contract, Milners age. attempting to sign this lad is a no brainer in my opinion.

Something is brewing, and it isn't necessarily associated with this potential signing.

Eds r we in the market for any strikers? as this page at the moment is all about VVD, Keita and the Ox. Just feel we can't rely on what we have at the moment.

{Ed002's Note - Added one already and one has returned from injury. There are now plenty indeed.}

11.) 03 Jul 2017
03 Jul 2017 21:19:21
We have about five strikers already.
I just wish we could move for Aubameyang . We would have an explosive attack. Probably second to only Barcelona.

And mayb we should allow Sturidge and Origi leave. #fantasy.

{Ed025's Note - if you got aubameyang tegar...who would be the other 2 who could elevate your attack to that of barcelona??..

Injury prone sturridge and unproven solanke great. Cheers for the reply.

{Ed002's Note - Plus Ings, Origi and Firmino, and Mane and Salah can play there. Overloaded.}

13.) 03 Jul 2017
03 Jul 2017 22:04:24
Anyone else think we have missed out massively in not going for lacazette?
I rate him better than origi and ings and would play more than sturridge and possibly score more than firmino, would of prefered to go after him than another cm tbh.

Do clubs, and in particular LFC, take the profile of the agent in consideration when deciding on whether to sign the players? We have had an unpleasant experience, to put it mildly, with Ox's agent on Sterling and Sinclair. Will that have a bearing?

If an agent is so instrumental in unsettling the player as we believe this guy is, then if Ox gets chances and does well he will want more money or move on, and if he does badly and is sidelined he will moan and cause unrest.

Wisdom sold there for 4.5mill so that's a start towards the huge fee! Anyway looking forward to the new season with or without Keita!

Cheers ed. I guess with both Ox and Keita as targets it doesn't sound good for the likes of Grujic, Stewart etc. Feel quite sorry for Grujic tbh.

itz mental on one side how many players are there like keita available and if we don't get him this year will there be similar quality available.

but then.

we need a lb and mendy is avaliable. there certainly won't be anyone in his calibre avaliable for a very long time, along with us actually being in a position to get them.

very very rare a player of his quality isn't already at a big club so to have a chance and miss signing your lb for the next 10 years when we haven't had one since riise (aurelio aside, as ed said he was made of tissue paper "ultra quality though') is astonishing.

We have some of the best attacking players in the league we have more than enough midfielders now (although the Hendo theory above is extremely worrying and has a ring of truth to it) we need top quality defenders if we want our trophy back. Ming was ec.

19.) 04 Jul 2017
04 Jul 2017 11:01:41
We have some of the best attacking players about. We have loads of strong, intelligent midfielders. We need to bring in quality defenders if we want our trophy back. Mingnolet was ok at end of season and although I agree karius should be given a chance I would feel happier with a real safe pair of hands in goal. Dunno if Hart would be the answer. They say a gk can win the league and I just don't know if we have a keeper of that sort of quality. Harsh but let's be honest. true.

I have my doubts about Lakazette. Big difference between playing in the French league and the Premiere league.

joe hart is not the answer, every free kick we would face would end up as a goal, he couldn't organize a funeral!

04 Jul 2017 16:10:36
To be fair, KK, a funeral is quite difficult to organise.

Now if you'r said "piss up in a brewery" you'd be bang on the money.

{Ed025's Note - i thought the same thing mate.. :)
