With all of the speculation surrounding Oxlade-Chamberlain joining, which I would very much welcome, does this mean players like ovie and gruijic are going to be considered surplus to requirements?

Big fan of both those players so just wondering where their futures lie?

I hope he's more likely to play on the wing if he comes in - we don't have as many natural wide options and we already have Coutinho, Llalana, Gini and Grujic in attacking midfield.

Ejaria I suspect is a couple of years away but Grujic should be getting regular game time IMO.

What a massive misjudged signing it would be to have those two leave.

We need more depth to the squad and the younger players aren't ready for champions league football. Klopp wants the ox to add depth to the squad with someone who is versatile and has a positive hard working attitude, and 25m is nothing by today's standards for a young versatile player. Klopp will get him playing the way he wants, and if it doesn't work out we should still be fine to sell him for a similar amount. Don't see why there's so much negativity, it would be nice to sign someone more quality but we can only sign who is available at this current time and wants to come to us.

I agree with you Danz however, my only issue is that Ox has not shown the game awareness and intelligence to play in Arsenal's team and has a poor record with them. Our system is not an easy one to play in both physically and tactically and you need tactical intelligence to play in it, something Ox is severely lacking. He said he sees himself as a CM. That ain't going to happen cos he is not fit to start over any of our CM's. Not even Grujic. There's a reason players like Benteke, Ibe, Allen and soon Marko and Moreno no longer/ will no longer play for us under Klopp. This is cos they can't hack it under Klopp's system. Now if Klopp thinks he can fix him then, I defer to him. I just don't see that happening BUT I'm open to being proved wrong.

Think you nailed it Danz. Grujic I would say is more than ready to play though. We definitely need to beef out the squad that was plain to see last season with far less games.

Would be nice to see some more youngsters come through but at 23 the ox is very good business. Klopp has instilled so much belief in this squad be good to see what he can do with the ox.

He's addressing the wing issues. Let's just get Left Back sorted and I think we will all be a lot happier. Which I'm sure he will.

Well said Dan. I can totally see why klopp likes him, I'm well excited by the deal. I bet my reputation (which is pretty poor) that he will become An field legend.

I'm sorry but Brussels red is wrong. Ox has been brilliant for arsenal at times. If we're honest arsenal play nice football, yeah? And he has years of experience at the very highest level. And he's only 23! Like Dan said. he's versatile and klopp loves to interchange. £25 mil absolute bargain.

I'd imagine klopp has promised the owners it's ox who'll be the missing piece to win us the league, until he sets his sights on the next missing piece. Regardless I've no issue with the lad and I'll support all new signings and keep my fingers crossed we behave properly from here on out but I just feel we're not to far away from another troubling event.

Ox hasn't been the missing link to Arsenal winning the league so there's no reason to think that he'll suddenly make us into title winners 🙄.

Jonny, that is your opinion BUT you said it yourself that Ox has been good for Arsenal at times. If that is the case you are making then I fear for you. Why? He's been there for 5 seasons and played over 150 games for them and all you have to offer as a counter argument is that he's been brilliant at times? How many times? Sorry bro BUT you're going to have to do better than that to support your point.

Wijnaldum has played 2 years in the PL and the Ox is not in the same league as Wiji, nor in the same league as Hendo, Can, Lallana or even Grujic who is very talented and promising. His versatility does nothing for me cos he is a jack of all trades and master of none. Milner is more effective versatility than Ox BUT I wouldn't want him anywhere near CM which is where Ox sees himself. Having said all that, if Klopp thinks he can work with him then I'll fall back and let him prove me and the rest of us wrong, just like he did with Wijnaldum.
