Ed what's the story with Sessegnon? I thought we lost out to Spurs for his signature but he still hasn't signed for them yet. Are we still interested? Any update on our interest in Mendy at Monaco? Really think Left back should be a priority.

City are set to sign Mendy. Gutted, best LB around and that's probably sealed the title for them as they're sorting out proper quality early, done and dusted. We, on the other hand, have spent a month on Salah, who still hasn't signed and was our second choice.

City will sort two quality full backs cause they need them. We do, but won't. More attacking quality added, maybe Auba too. Don't need him, but top teams want competition for places. We don't like that.

Bertrand won't want to join City to be a back up to Mendy. He's had that before. If city go for Mendy I'd be happy if we went in for Bertrand as he's a quality player.

Ever the optimist hey Max ;) we've obviously taken a while to get our business done early due our handling of the Van Dijk transfer.

Salah is a quality signing and the transfer window hasn't even opened yet. There's still plenty of time to sign a left back (which we will) . Klopp's knowledge of the European market is second to none, he'll find a cheaper alternative to Mendy i presume.

I'll be amazed if the Van Dijk transfer goes through so after Salah we need to find a CB of genuine quality then i'll be happy with our business. A CF and a DCM (keita) would be a massive bonus.

We don't need Salah? Why don't we need another winger? We fell apart when Mane went and the team was fatigued.

I believe most games we will play a front 3 of Salah Firmino and Mane, with Phill just behind.

Everyone knows we need a LB and a CB to improve our starting 11. I'm not sure we need a CM imo as we have enough already Then we need to replace any out goings to add depth.

Chill out and see what's happened and the start of the season.

A largely untested keeper, no leadership in their defense and a completely unbalanced midfield. Mendy does not pretty much secure the title for City.

Tizer I didn't say we didn't need Salah. We were linked with Auba and posters saying we don't need him as we have Sturridge, Origi and Solanke. City don't need him either but the difference is he can improve the competition for a place with Aguero and Jesus. We are short sighted to see players like Auba as an impressive signing to elevate us rather stick with what hasn't won us anything instead of pushing forward.

Mendy himself might not win the title but it is the areas they're improving- fullbacks, keeper and players like Bernardo Silva make sure they continue to improve competition. Posters here are right we need a LB. we needed one last summer, before that too. Keep hearing window not open yet I see our direct competition managing to buy and improve. The best LB in euro is available we should have sealed that problem area straight away.

We will see at the end of the window of course. But we have a packed cm area and want players like Ojo and Gomez given the chance, but we're hunting Keita, Salah and a CB. Still no lb still have a problem area, squad not improved and get those three Keita Salah and a CB that's going to be £120m spent. What we buying at lb? £10m Robertson? How much money do you think we have? Same old windows of money wasted and a squad hoping for top four not title challengers.

yeah i think we should focus on a centre back and a left back and i would prefer koulibaly to van dyke due to the fact that it is about time we sought out a commanding defender for once and is areal value for money at 55-65 mil pounds we might purchase van dyke for.
