Eds its been said all along that Klopp has his 4 CB's and one won't arrive unless one leaves. With now the likely arrival of VVD, is it fair to say one will indeed go, Gomez the most likely one? that's all asuming we can rectify the situation with VVD-do you beleive we will?

Klavan similar, we would not dismiss offers out of hand, it is just unlikely anyone will want him.

Gomez is simply the most vulnerable because he is the most in demand. It is more likely he will go out on loan though than be sold.}

You don't sound too enthusiastic Ed001. I guess you're unhappy with our summer plans. Still have faith in Jürgen Klopp?

Personally I trust him to get things right whomever we sign. I questioned the signing of Wijnaldum last summer and was totally proved wrong so I shan't judge any other players until I've seen them under Klopp. Van Dijk for example, is a player I dislike as much as you Ed, but I would trust Klopp to improve his concentration and make him the defender we need!

{Ed001's Note - I believe he wants players he can develop into better players and the players he is targeting are all ones with clear areas that could be improved easily, if the player wants to. So yes, as it comes down to the ability of the coaches to get that improvement and they have shown they can make a significant difference. My faith is not lost, signings are not really anything that excite me particularly anyway. I would rather we signed players to fit our system than the best individual players.}

In an ideal world who would you like us to sign? Im sure a LB is top priority but who would you like?

Personally even tho i feel VVD isn't first priority for us, i think he is still a step up from what we currently have at CB both in passing and aerial power, if he can actually lead from the back and organise that back line then even better.

I feel that salah, VVD, a LB (or 2) and a good RB would be good enough this summer, assuming we don't have unexpected outs.

I haven't even seen Mendy play this season so i can't judge, but im hoping every1 here complaining we've missed another major target are not judging him from youtube compilations and have actually seen him play. Honestly, after last summer with the Wijnaldum saga im more than happy to give Klopp the benefit of bringing anyone he wants.

Mendy i didn't even think he was a thoght in the back of our minds, let alone an actual option.

Thanks for the reply ed i agree we should go all out to secure our top targets at left back as that is quite cleary our main position of concern.
I do also quite like Salah if we manage to get him especially if he shows the form he has produced in Italy.
I do think a top centre back is required although i'm not sure VVD is the answer.

Hey Ed001, any change in the LB situation after Mendy and Sessegnon are not options now? Sincerely hope Robertson is not who Klopp's turned too coz there are better out there.
