Hi Eds.
Any views from around the club in John Flanagan?
I know the loan season didn't go as planned but on the pitch he has never let anyone down and shows the heart of a lion. Will he be given a shot in pre-season?

No definitely, he's barely featured for Burnley. Seems a great honest lad, but his knee injuries have had killed any bit of his speed. Should move to the championship and get a few few seasons under his belt.

I read an article after his breakthrough season that said on average he was taken on more per game than any other full back in the league. That's stuck with me that Maybe we got carried away on him a little. Obviously injuries have struck but maybe he just wasn't as good as we all thought.

I saw him in the bar of the Radisson in Manchester after Burney had been knocked out of the cup, by Lincoln I think? He was caning the beers with Joey Barton, so if he's been hanging out with that bell end and listening to his career advice his is virtually over. Shame as I liked him when he broke through.

{Ed025's Note - comparing him to barton is a terrible thing to say about a bell end pieboy.. :)

Personally think the injuries have taken too much of a toll on him, sorry to say as he was very promising.
