According to Sky News Arabia, we have agreed a fee of £43m for Salah.

I for one certainly hope not.

What the absolute f

I thought he was a more reasonable option.

Would of had lamar or costa for that price.

Yes im bashing. Just that's a heavy outlay for a player in the prem 2 seaso s ago who couldn't settle.

Yes different circumstance and if he does want back in then he must be over whatever problem h3 had back then but heafty outlay for some question marks.

Talent wise. Need wise. Option wise. Brilliat signing.

Need wise - don't we have a right winger who was pretty good last season?

He doesn't work hard enough and I am hoping this is fake news.

And when you say 'need wise' I'm assuming you mean for our left-wing? But he does not play on the left-wing.

Steep.

Surely not! Chelsea paid £12-16m for him 3 years ago! Which seemed fair! Seems a little excessive to think his stock has risen another £30m since then

Klopp is known for being a very frugal manager in the transfer windows. This seems out of character.

Back to wasting money again then.

wait what! People bitching about players who we may or may not have signed! No wonder Ed2 is sick of people on here.

He is left footed at least unlike Brandt.

He's quality and we need more quality, but that seems mega steep.

Roma want £43m, we offered £29.5m by all accounts. Ed002 said that there were reasons he didn't settle well at Chelsea, although I can't help thinking that Mourinho either likes you or he doesn't and heaven help you if he doesn't.

He certainly has looked like the winger that he was at Basel this season and it can't be argued that he doesn't have end product to match his pace and skill, because he clearly does as the amount of goals and assists would prove that.

Hopefully he wants to prove both Mourinho and Chelsea wrong by succeeding on his second go at the premier league and where better to rub Mourinho's nose in it than at Anfield?

Only concern is what happens when the AFCON comes around as missing two pacy important wingers is a big deal, although it is some time off.

Why does everyone moan about the amount of money a player costs? Its not your pocket its coming from, the fact is we are a premier league club and that increases the price of a player instantly so we always have to pay over the odds nowadays. At best a player stays put because they don't want to sell him or at worst you lose out to another premier league side for being too tight with the purse strings.

{Ed025's Note - im with you jcw..

I think that would be a reasonable price for the player. Similar to what we paid for Mane last year.

Quite like the idea of Mane and Salah running at defenders. Enough to give any full back nightmares.
