Great deal for everyone involved just a shame we paid a lot of money for a player who was never given the chance.

It wasn't really about chances was it? He was never worth that amount and he wasn't really up to it.

How can you say he was never up to it when he never got a chance?

Whats 8.5 million going to ge5 us
Rather have him in the squad.

Great cover for mane. Esexially with all the extra games. Intrpducing his pace into things with 20 to go would see the lb wet himself haha.

8.5m is a average championship player these days. That lad from brentford went for like 12 mil.

Unless its 16/ 18. Then keep him gor stleast a season.

I definitely think it comes down to poor management rather than him being up for it. If true, good luck to the lad - hopefully he can restore his career with a permanent move away.

He should have booked his train ticket in advance.

You can make significant savings, even on First Class.

Come on he's hardly taken off anywhere else has he? You can't say he didn't get chances elsewhere. He was either injured or very inconsistent in poorer, less physical leagues too.

Liverpool made a mistake to sign Markovic and Markovic made a mistake to join Liverpool. His career is likely ruined and Liverpool will pay a hefty price to get him off the books.

Rodgers was a kid in a candy shop. Hhhmmm, he is going to cost £20m, not my money so not my problem if he does not work out at RB :-O.

He had the potential but only showed glimpses.

Personally would have rathered him in the squad than sent out on loan in his second season. Good luck to him.

Exactly Max. It was a bad decision from both sides and from both perspectives. But I blame Rodgers first and most, for making an enticing enough offer and then having no intentions of ever really using and developing the player. I remember Ed002 repeating several times, that many felt Markovic was not ready for the EPL, at the time. Rodgers bought 10 players that summer and only two are making any contribution whatsoever - Lallana and Can.
