Eds I am hearing whispers of James Rodriguez being lined up if:
A) we get champions league
B) Cautinho leaves

The owners like the idea of replacing Cautinho (if he leaves) with a big money signing and love how commercial James Rodriguez is.
I am told it's most likely not going to happen as the player has several options on the table BUT if he is to move he wants to be the Star man in the team - whatever that team may be. Inter Milan looking most likely atm though.

Don't believe this as far as I can throw it. And I can't throw it.

Dor believe it.

Although I'm going to go against the trend on here and particularly Ed001s view and say I think he is a great player. Not world class but a very good player and would be a great signing in an alternate reality.

Not going to happen, he's going to the mancs.

Who is Cautinho?

He's coutinhas brother.

I'm pretty sure that the owners don't "like the idea" of spending a lot of money.
They may be resigned to the fact, but I doubt it's one they are rubbing their hands with glee over.

They can keep him and his wage demands or better still let the scum take him and his wage!

As I say lads, he's most likely off to Inter.

He is, in my opinion, a bloody good player.
I agree that it is unlikely that he will end up at Liverpool.
But if he does you will, eventually, rejoice.
Please stop these unnecessarily stupid and derogatory comments.

He's the most over rated player in Europe since Hulk left, far better options out there if coutinho leaves.

I believe if you make yourself a hat out of tinfoil those whispers will go away.

He's a decent player and would give us more creativity in the final third. Is he worth the money he'd want? Probably not but would still welcome him if he came. He won't though.

How can you say the owners don't like the idea of spending money after seeing the amounts spent on Carroll, Firmino and Mane? Or how the entire amount gotten for Suarez (and much more) was spent on all those players in that summer? If anything, one can argue they weren't spending it wisely. But I think they've gotten much better at it, as time has come along.

I never said they never spent any money, I said they probably don't "like the idea" of it.
To say they like the idea of replacing him with a big money signing is ridiculous.
They'd like the idea of replacing him with someone from the academy, I'm sure.
Spending £60 or £70 million on a player isn't going to have them jumping through hoops.

James is not a bloody good player and even a so-so manager like ZZ can see that. James is overrated, lazy, lacks work ethic and pas a stinking attitude, all the things Klopp despises in a player.

There's a reason why he can't get a game ahead of an average player like Lucas Vazquez or getting benched by a promising talent in Sergio Asencio. If Couts was ever sold and replaced by James, then I know Klopp has lost his mind.

I think that the majority of us heard this rumour about a month ago. He is one of the hundred or so players that will be signed by Liverpool this summer. Personally I will wait until just after 11pm on 31st August when we will be able to start rumours about who we are signing in the January Transfer Window.
