Ed002. Just wanted your opinion please mate on the Striker situation. Ed001 has said that he understand Studge may well stay beyond this season is he wishes to. In this instance would you still expect another Striker to arrive? We would have 4 including Ings already?

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have been looking at forwards and it would be with a view to replacing Sturridge. If he stays I would doubt that they would simply add another unless it was a youngster such as Brereton who is of interest.}

I hope you're off the mark there Ed. It's blindingly obvious we are lacking depth up front and should one or two of the front three get injured we only have one out and out striker in Origi and he just isn't good enough yet to take us to the next level. I'd keep Sturridge and add one more. Studge had a great cameo yesterday and showed more threat in his 10 mins than Origi did all game. Unfortunately we won't get more than half a season from him at best so another striker is an absolute necessity.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool are like all sides constrained by squad size and you cannot keep adding players. With Mane fit Firmino has played as a central forward. If Brandt were to arrive to replace Coutinho he can also play there. Ings will be available, a replacement for Sturridge and Origi - plus the youngsters and Liverpool have plenty of options.}

I'm pretty sure if we're going for a player like Brandt he is as a replacement for coutinho. I don't want to believe it but I think that's why we're interested in someone for the LW. Coutinho won't be dropped deeper in the midfield role, so it only spells one thing. If he goes I can see us bringing in two maybe even three forwards but if he stays I think we will only get a forward that can play centrally or outwide to replace Sturridge and potentially ings who I hope goes out on loan next season.
