I know this sounds like complete rubbish but my mate has heard that oxlade chamberlain to Liverpool is done, no fee mentioned. Not making stuff up just passing on what I've been told. Feel free to question the rumour, I would be if I saw it on the site.

I've heard the same, from a reliable source!

indykalia off of twitter? That account comes out with a lot of rubbish.

Seems to be a lot of people saying that ox is done. 15 million and it would be ok as back up but any more then I'd feel like we could do better. Always injured but arsenal fans seem to really rate him.

4.) 15 Apr 2017
15 Apr 2017 18:12:24
Hah, it ain't Indykaila!

5.) 15 Apr 2017

I've heard the same and its not indykaila.

Graeme Kelly has tweeted the very same thing, he's reliable enough.

If we have European footie next season we will 100% need strong squad players to fill the injury gaps that will appear in Nov and afterwards.
I would always prefer better than we have in the starting 11, and I don't think Ox is quite that good, but he is a very good player, and I would trust Klopp to see qualities in him that he can use.

8.) 15 Apr 2017
15 Apr 2017 20:08:16
A lot was expected of the Ox but he hasn't lived up to it yet. If Klopp does want to sign him then I'll back him and hope Klopp gets the best out of him. It's not a signing I want to happen but if he puts that liver bird on his chest I'll support him anyway.

8/ 10 million. Pot shot like coutinho or sturridge yes.

25 mil. Erm.

15 Apr 2017 21:16:52
With today's prices you genuinely think you could get a young English talent who plays for a big club in England for 8 million.

11.) 15 Apr 2017
15 Apr 2017 21:55:21
Ibe went for 15mil and he was barely catching our starting 11.
Sterling went for 50mil. how does the ox compare to him?

Think we could find better and cheaper abroad though personally.

12.) 15 Apr 2017
15 Apr 2017 21:54:09
More failure in the transfer market from us if this is true. He's barely good enough to get on Arsenal's bench and even then most of the time he's injured. This is as bad a transfer as Joe Cole in my honest opinion.

13.) 15 Apr 2017
15 Apr 2017 22:09:50
Thinking logically about this. There is no way that this transfer should logically happen given that Aidy Ward is his agent and he's slagged the owners of the club off rotten in the press, twitter and anyone who'd listen to him.

14.) 15 Apr 2017
15 Apr 2017 22:32:33
Who is Graeme Kelly?

15.) 15 Apr 2017
15 Apr 2017 22:44:10
Oxlade is not what you'd call talented.

16.) 15 Apr 2017
15 Apr 2017 23:03:58
He's a guy on twitter, he's regularly on the anfield index podcasts and he is very reliable with regards LFC.

17.) 16 Apr 2017
16 Apr 2017 03:23:39
If Liverpool had to sign one, would u prefer Zaha or the Ox?

18.) 16 Apr 2017
16 Apr 2017 07:55:01
Zaha as he is less injured.

19.) 16 Apr 2017
16 Apr 2017 11:27:27
I think ox would be a good signing for us.
His best years are ahead of him and he has Champs league experience which our squad lacks.
He has plenty energy about him as well which Klopp looks for in a player.

20.) 16 Apr 2017
16 Apr 2017 11:22:17
And Zaha can actually beat a defender for pace and with skill. Two things that Oxlade cannot do.

21.) 16 Apr 2017
16 Apr 2017 12:14:59
Oxs because we would not lose zaha in January and he can play in different positions.

22.) 16 Apr 2017
16 Apr 2017 13:53:39
Dermot, when you say 'Champions League experience', getting the run around from Bayern or sitting on the bench isn't the kind of experience I'd be looking for. He's an injury prone one dimensional English player who literally no one else but us bunch of mugs wants.

23.) 16 Apr 2017
16 Apr 2017 13:54:07
He'd be injured instead. When you say he can play in different positions, you forgot to add badly. Because he's not a centre midfielder and he's useless at number 10. He's a bang average winger with poor end product at best.

24.) 16 Apr 2017
16 Apr 2017 14:28:40
Kind of seems the general view is yes if less than 15 million. I guess he can play wide or as one of the three. I'd be happy enough if he wasn't injury prone, but if he's going to have to be relied on of coutinho firmino mane are out, then we need someone fitter. If klopp wants him, I trust him though, I feel our style may suit him.

25.) 16 Apr 2017
16 Apr 2017 20:04:25
Got to be honest and say that I wish we had youngsters that could cover the positions that Oxlade might be expected to play. Maybe Klopp seems him as cover for Lallana as there isn't anyone who plays a similar style to Lallana, plenty of capable cover for Lallana but all play slightly differently.

26.) 16 Apr 2017
16 Apr 2017 20:26:59
What has the price tag got to do with anything? 15 35, why should it matter? If the club deem him worth however much and Klopp wants him, so be it, he'd be in his last chance saloon with regards big club in England so one would hope he'd do all he could to make it work, let's see if it comes about first, there are those in power who are the paid to balance the books.

27.) 16 Apr 2017
16 Apr 2017 23:21:14
Barca got the run around the other night, but I wouldn't mind one or two of their players. I agree with unconditional loyalty above where it might be the right move for both parties.

28.) 17 Apr 2017
17 Apr 2017 10:28:10
Price tag is very important when not much money and he isn't a starter. Shouldn't be spending a large chunk of budget on player who isn't improving things beyond current level.

29.) 18 Apr 2017
18 Apr 2017 16:01:00
Fresh, how do you know the budget? How do you know he won't be a starter? Similar comments were made toward wini before he signed, that turned out fine, have faith, if Klopp believes Ox to a) be worth whatever fee is agreed b) bring quality as long as it doesn't affect our ability to strengthen other areas, the club have a better idea of affordability than any of us, appreciate others opinions on the matter tho, personally don't think we need him but I'll trust Klopp over mine and other posters opinions on it all.

30.) 18 Apr 2017
18 Apr 2017 19:42:00
The Redmen TV guy said it was a done deal as well based on what he had heard.

Well for someone who was skeptical about if mane and Wij were good enough, I am in no position to question Klopp's signings for now. I don't want Ox nor Zaha BUT if Klopp can get him firing and improve him as he's only about 23/ 24 then, I'll trust him. We will.

31.) 19 Apr 2017
19 Apr 2017 12:21:51
Unconditional not so much I know the budget as we all know we aren't loaded and we have much higher priority positions to fill. Personally I don't see what he brings that puts any of the current midfield and attacking players behind him so at best I'd see him as a bench and cover option.

Just my opinion but would be similar to Markovic situation. There were players at the club with potential who we should be using as cover and the money spent would have been better used to increase the spend on key areas.

32.) 19 Apr 2017
19 Apr 2017 12:25:19
Unconditional I don't know the exact budget but we all know we don't have huge amounts to spend and other areas we must improve first. As for a starter, having seen most of his career just opinion but I don't see what he adds that means any of Wini, Lallana, Henderson, Mane, Couts, Firminho, Origi or even Can get pushed out to reshape and fit him in. With injuries and absence he might start. He may make the bench regularly but it isn't like we're talking de Bruyne here.

Just my opinion on this bit but I'd see this like Markovic signing. A lot of money for someone who plays same position as we had players with potential and similar age, who we should have tried first. if we'd used that money to add to funds to buy an upgrade in other areas then situation today could be different.
