I understand that several Premiership clubs are after Sakho and LFC are likely to get a decent fee for him - does this stack up with the EDs? Also have Liverpool shown an interest in Nathan Ake as well - very recently?

{Ed002's Note - There are a couple of sides interested in Sakho (Palace and Soton). Liverpool has not asked about Ake.}

Could a swap deal be done for Sakho and VVD?

I like Ake, he's a really good defender and can play left back or centre back easily. Would be a smart bit of business if we went for him.

Probably get downvotes for this, but if Sakho was to be used as "leverage" for another player I would really hope it would be Zaha. I know he didn't have the best time at United, but I just feel he was in a similar boat to Markovic in that he showed fantastic potential but United bought him too soon before he was properly developed. He has progressed very well at Palace this season and would bring some much needed pace and power to our side.

Zaha = average.

Harsh to call Zaha average. He has had a great season in a very poor team. Last season I would've completely agreed. He now offers a genuine threat in behind, running at the opposition, holding the ball up, putting dangerous crosses in etc. His improvement has been astonishing to be quite honest. He has something like 6 goals and 12 assists in a team fighting relegation.

However he is not as good as Mane and plays the exact same position. Not to mention this is his first good season. He needs to prove he can maintain this level. You couldn't even argue he is cover when Mane is at the AFCON, because Zaha will also be at the tournament!

If we are going to try and nab a centre back in part of a swap deal for Sakho, we would be better off with Jack Stephens though. He is better than VVD.

Spot on MK buying Zaha doesn't solve any current challenges.

I don't think palace are that poor a team . They have a decent squad it was just being managed by a poor manager in Pardew. Fat head has gone in and done what he does and made them hard to beat. For me palace should be around 10-12th with squad they have.

Zaha has looked more impressive past few games but I am not sure he is the answer for us he is quick and athletic but he does go missing in a lot of games . I don't think he can be judged on his time at the mancs as there was a lot of unrest as whisky nose signed him but never managed him so I think Zaha was on a hiding to nothing with LVG plus they spent big on other players limiting his game time.

If Klopp wants him and a deal can be done it could be a great signing with good coaching and if he clicks with us but I will leave that to the scouts and people who know more than me to decide.

Zaha has been average his whole PL career and playing a series of good games lately will NEVER change that. Let's see him do it for 2 more years and we will discuss at that time.
