Any truth in this Eds? Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - There is very real interest from China and his agent has spoken with Chelsea, Juventus, PSG and Barcelona again to see if they can get one of the clubs to start chasing Bayern so he can use it as leverage for a pay rise. I understand that he has now spoken to Arsenal as well. Clubs won't get drawn in to that sort of scenario and Bayern are miffed at him because of this and some unreasonable demands. Out of the clubs approached Juventus might just bite. I am not aware of Liverpool making any approach to Bayern Munich and certainly not directly to the player as implied above. There was a discussion between his agent and Monaco but that has gone no further at this time.}

So who's place will Costa take? Mane, Coutinho's or Firmino's?

I cannot see Klopp signing anyone to replace these three players. Whether we sign a striker or wide forward, attacking mid or whatever else it may be, Coutinho, Mane and Firnmino will still be first choice next season so unlikely that someone like Costa will join unless one of Firmino, Mane or Coutinho leave. Signing Costa at ridiculous wage demands when Bayern are happy to see him go should not give us reason to be held ransom either.

We still also have Ings who should be ready next season and Woodburn now breaking into the first team. Someone like Brandt will be our best bet but depends on his demands. He most certainly will be first team ready as he has loads of experience at his age.

All also could depend on whether Klopp reverts back to his favoured 4-2-3-1 opening up a space for someone like Brandt to step in straight away. That would see us having ample attacking options with Lallana and Wijnaldum able to play in the wide positions.

Anyone expecting a expensive addition to our attack I feel need to start getting ready for disappointment. I would rather see Klopp spend our whole budget on getting our unreliable defence sorted out.

Surely if we were to play 4-2-3-1 next season we'd have to sign a striker because firmino wouldn't be able to play as a lone player up there on his own in my opinion. So I'd sign a striker and play firmino behind that striker with coutinho and mane either side. Henderson and Gini behind them and then the defence whatever that may be. Would leave us with Can, Brandt (if we sign him), lallana, origi, grujic, Woodburn plus a few. For me this would give us the much needed depth we'd need for next season.
